We booked our stay here through booking.com, but received an email about 5 days before our stay from the owners informing us that they had a boiler leak and would have to cancel our reservation. 8TH March 2013 got to hotel a little early noticed it was locked up so telephoned the mobile number that was given went right on to Answering machine message left that was at 1 30PM 3 hours later and numerous telephone calls no one answered or arrived cold and feet afire waiting to see if anyone would turn up so... Found this B&B online as we needed accommodation for a wedding. We were already thrilled as we had gotten a great deal and the reviews looked good, but it totally exceeded our expectations. The room was outstanding and the dedicated bathroom was huge! The lounge was comfortable and there was a selection of whisky that you could help yourself to.... More

A beautiful B&B situated a block or two from the water. We found the place to be very clean and beautifully decorated. The owner (Colin) to be warm and engaging giving us the run of the house. If and when we go back that way a stay will be a must - needed or not!

Made very welcome by Colin on arrival and left to do our own thing .... Room was very nice with Four Poster Bed .... breakfast each day at the Cafe Carlton was included in room price!! Will have no hesitation in going back!

we have just returned from our stay and can only say, we wish we were still their, the rooms are AMAZING! i would say more 5 star, we also really enjoyed our 2 minute stroll to the owners(colin) cafe where we got a lovely breakfast, the food and tea and coffee was the best quality, and a lovely warm welcome... More

Just had a 2 night stay at this bed and breakfast , well what can i say ! except excellent the room was clean and cosy and the bathroom although separate but next to your room was fantastic too , and the breakfast was also excellent . Location was good too only a 5 minute walk from the bus station... More
