Stayed at the Mercure hotel Ayr on the the 30th August for one night. The hotel was central which was good. Rooms were clean and had free wifi. The breakfast was a buffet. It was really good the only down fall it was a little bit cold. We had dinner in the hotel which we enjoyed. The staff were friendly,... More

I had read many negative reviews about this hotel after I booked it and was expecting the worst.I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted with our double room which was clean and modern.I was told it was a compact room but in fact it was very spacious for a couple. The lounge area was very smart and modern. The restaurant... More

Stayed here while passing through Prestwick. Great down town location and it had a bar that will stay open all night for ya. The rooms are small unless you get a £20 upgrade, which I recommend. Bathrooms and showers are open so the floor stays wet after a shower. Nice place.

This is a 3-star hotel that delivers what you would expect from a 3-star hotel. Rooms are a very good size & comfortable although instructions on how to use the Nexspresso machine would have been useful. Bar was expensive but the restaurant was superb with an excellent menu choice & a very friendly manager - the reception staff should take... More

Booked in by coach tour company purporting to have us stay in surrounding Glasgow area for visiting Edinburgh tattoo......Ayr was a little far away...an hour to Glasgow and a further hour and a bit to Edinburgh. Rooms were fine, ours was at the back overlooking the multi-story car park. Rooms at the front had a 'sea view' in the distance.... More
