We stayed here in May and were very pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the staff were to us. I was a little concerned how the staff would be with my four year old, but they were very helpful and accommodating. The room itself that we were allocated was smashing, it was huge with fantastic views and the bathroom was massive... more

Read other reviews and we were really looking forward to our stay. Immediately noticed on arrival outside that the gardens and building were in need of repair and attention. Inside was homely and comfortable and had a relaxed feel to the place. Decor in a very poor state in places - but in particular downstairs loo and en-suite in bedroom... more

We had booked the Woodland Lodge, and on checkin we were shown to the lodge. When we entered the room, it felt cold, however the member of staff looked at the heating and thought it would warm up. There must have been something wrong with the under floor heating as the room remained cold. The manager appologied and said if... more

Choosing where to hold our wedding meal and evening reception was difficult - until we found Enterkine Country House! The house itself is beautiful and is very tastefully decorated which was refreshing after looking at so many over decorated venues (the majority had dark greens, reds and gold). The bedrooms themselves are large and very comfortable with beautiful bathrooms (some... more

We decided on a bit of a whim to go away for my husband's birthday - just wanted somewhere near to Glasgow for a nice meal and an overnight stay. This place came up on laterooms but got similar deal through hotel's own site which included breakfast. Only after booking did I read the mixed Trip Advisor comments however we... more

went for a short honeymoon, and returned the following year. amazing place. with only six rooms we felt we had the whole place to ourselves (I think we actually did for some nights). the highlight was definately the food. really really nice and massive portions (comes from having american golfers coming over - we were told). the lounge and dining... more

We returned to Enterkine for our 1st wedding anniversary after having had the most wonderful wedding there last year. Just before we returned for our overnight stay we read the reviews and were dismayed at some of the unfavourable comments made and had decided that the place must have changed for the worse in the last year. However we are pleased... more

I had heard very good reports about this hotel and was looking forward to having dinner and staying the night. The dinner was fabulous. The hotel was advertised as 5 star. The food was but the rest of the hotel is not. The decor in our bedroom, dining room and ladies toilet is in need of attention. A large section... more

I have just returned from Enterkine Hotel, having taken my girlfriend away for a romantic break. I booked the hotel on the basis of some of the favourable reviews it had received, altough I am now more inclined to side with those that were not so favourable. I booked this through laterooms.com which quoted a price of £95 room only.... more
