Situated in a quiet pleasant street near Ayr railway station, Lochinver provides modest good-value accommodation in spotless, spacious rooms. Breakfast was large and there was a varied menu on offer. The only down side was that the proprietor will not accept payment by credit/debit card, only cash or cheque. I guess if you are looking for more "frills" then it's not the place for you but it was exactly what I was looking for and I would certainly go back there. more
