great location! We stayed here after we got off from the ferry in Cairnryan. Not a bad drive to Ayr just over an hour. The hotel is cosy. We arrived to the place and was showed where everything is. We contacted the owner as the heating wasn't on and he came to sort it out straight away. The room we... More

I didn't book this guesthouse myself, my company did. What a great find. Lovely people, great room, warm and comfortable with an enormous bed. Little desk for me to work from. Breakfast was amazing and only a little walk to the town centre. Will definitely use Bythesea again.

We were booked in the sister guest house Cragallan, but when we arrived a note on the door said to go to Bythe sea. After ringing bell and knocking on door, we had to phone tp get someone to let us in.Nice welcome and we were asked if 2nd floor room was ok. we said yes (mistake) the room was... More

Family run beautiful B&B on Queens Terrace Ayr..Work colleagues recommended it to me and rightly so....very comfortable ensuite room..comfy bed...huge bath/shower room... tea/coffee making facilities in room...Wi-Fi is business class....massive brekkie...great value ...close to Prestwick for pubs and clubs..Ayr itself is rather quiet..but it depends on what you're looking for..close to beaches and other usual seaside amenities...Highly Recommended and I've... Just returned from a two day stay at bythesea. Have stayed in many a guest house, and probably all in queens terrace, but this is by far the best we have stayed at. All rooms shining and Immaculate, modern and well equipped with iron, hairdryer, safe and ample tea/coffee, biscuits and milk provided. Beds so comfortable and warm, owners insisting... More

My husband and I came to Ayr to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A cosy B&B close to the sea front. slept soundly in the small but comfortable double bedroom. Enjoyed em suite facilities, again small but clean and adequate. The breakfast in the morning was included in the price of the room and could be called anything small. my husband... More

Room is small adequate for two people however there's no room for a wardrobe and only a small chest of drawers for your things and a coat rack. Room is clean and cleaned every day of our stay. My partner and I stayed here for one night and we were really pleased with our stay. It is a gorgeous b&b in a great location. The room was spotless and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend :)

Family stayed here in June. Room absolutely abismal. Small and pokey, awoken with noisy kitchen below. Staff varied between non existant and sour. Don't bother leaving a review for example as my family did on booking.com unless you are willing to accept sheer rudeness and surlyness from these so called professionals. Family member was immediately contacted after leaving a honest... More
