Basically, this place is all about the golf courses! We stayed in a Lodge which provided a good spaced room with a sitting room for all lodge guests. You are an uphill way from the hotel though. Regretfully did not get the chance to try the spa. It was the service and pricing for food and drink that was the... more

I have been coming here for 10 years and what a dissapointment the last 3 years have been. The hotel has got progressivly worse for its service ,decor and quality iof meals We booked a speciality suite (£2600 for nights) and the experience was just not delivered. It seems that all aspects that go to make a 5* experience have... more

I just returned home to the US tonight after spending a wonderful 5 days at Turnberry. I am not a golfer, yet traveled there to attend the wedding of someone very important to me. I enjoyed my stay there very much. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking and rich with history. While most of the other guests at the wedding were... more

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, would rate it as a 4*. The room was a good size, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The hotel is more like a country house with old fashioned style furniture, curtains and carpets although the rooms are modern. Breakfast had a very good selection of hot and cold dishes and there were plenty of... more

This is the 3rd time in as many years that I have visited this property and I offer just a few tips. Everyone in Scotland seems to dine out on Saturday night - so if you want a child free zone in the pool, try 6pm on Saturday night. The food at Turnberry is excellent but pricey. A very reasonably... more

I booked a break at the Turnberry firstly for a family vacation and secondly for time to play golf with my son. The check in procedure was fast ,smooth and polite(very efficient) We had a cottage which maybe needed a bit of an upgrade but with to youngish children gave us a bit more flexibility certainly when it came to... more

Just returned from a week at Turnberry with my family - including 2 children- and although the weather was bad, I have to say it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. We stayed in a cottage which gave us flexibility to do what we wanted. The cottage wasnt overly large but was comfortable. The hotel breakfasts we... more

On arrival the place is mind blowing. The coastline and the grounds are stunning. I was born not far from here and I can tell you it is a great location. The hotel arrival is simply breathtaking. The porters were also great; they took the car and carried the clubs and bags, perfect. It was all looking promising. The front... more

I stayed for 2 nights with my wife and in-laws. We were booked into 2 Classic rooms on the 2nd floor. Welcome/Check-in: The welcome was non existent, there was no door man or anyone to help remove the bags from the car. The check-in was friendly, quick and efficient. Rooms were made available to us, even though we arrived well... more

My wife and I recently completed a 4 night stay at the Westin Turnberry. This resort exceeded our expectations on every front. The hotel sits high on a hill overlooking the ocean and the beautiful golf courses; the setting is jawdropping. The food and service our top notch and the staff througout the resort could not have been more affable.... more
