We spent two wonderful evenings at Setterbrae last week and loved our stay. Setterbrae is located off a single lane road, overlooking a gorgeous loch and rolling hills. The B&B was beautifully decorated, clean, wonderful shower, lovely garden, great breakfast and hospitality. We especially loved a chance to play with their very sweet and playful lab. The B&B is centrally located near the old Quendale water mill, and an easy drive to the crofting museum, Jarlshof, Scatness and the lighthouse at Sumburgh -the home of many puffins. The B&B is also located about 15 minutes from Sandwick, where we took a ferry to Mousa for the day. We found Setterbrae to be a perfect place to visit the sites of the southern Mainland, and only wished we had more time to spend in the area, before heading north. more
