Being a Shetlander you would think you would know where all the best places to eat would be. This is not the case. When the Drumquin Guest House was mentioned for a meal with family and friends last weekend it was the first I had ever of this place and boy I can tell you I wish I had known... More

In 2012 my wife and I cycled 3000 miles of the North Sea Cycle Route which took us through the Shetlands. Of all the places we stopped at on our 3 month tour this is the one we still talk about, the best of the trip. We were so lucky they had had a cancellation as I get the impression... More

I recently visited Shetland for work, I needed to stay in the vicinity of Sullom Voe, so Brae was an oblivious choice, what I found lacking was just that, choice, there was a hotel at over £100 per night, no doubt very pleasant, then there was an over priced mediocre motel style hotel at £80 per night, I count myself... This is a real home from home. The guest lounge is friendly and welcoming - a wood burning stove, and everything to make your stay comfortable. It's an excellent coffee shop during the day too, as well as providing for your evening meal if you want it. Handily adjacent to a prize winning fish and chip shop if you want... More

It's a small set up, so you order your dinner selection the day before from the menu available online. I'd heard good things about Drumquin before I went but wasn't expecting it to be THAT good! The portion size was on the large side but far from the pile it high bang it out of the kitchen and keep 'em... More

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a cuppa. What a delicious selection of cakes were on offer! We enjoyed scones with Jam and the most delicious vanilla cream. We could have sat for hours! the owners Leslie and Robert were the perfect hosts and we will most definitely be back again for an evening meal.

Thanks for a lovely relaxing lunch at your excellent establishment. We were 3 old friends looking for a relaxing place to catch up which also serves excellent food. We got both plus excellent, friendly service in a non rushed environment. Thanks very much. from "the 3 Midwives"

We had only heard about Drumquin quite recently, and as we were out for a drive we decided to stop in for lunch. They were very busy and it took a little while to get our food - but food this good is worth waiting for. I had a Cajun chicken burger - I expected a small chicken fillet, but... More
