First time in the Shetlands and a wonderful welcome from Mary and Les. The views were spectacular and local walks were enthralling. Excellent presentation of accommodation and food. Mary extremely helpful with local information and booking us in for tea at the quirky Spiggie Hotel.

My husband and I spent two nights here end May 2014. Every thing was lovely with superb views from the sitting room. Mary very friendly and helpful and lovely food and comfy bed. There is an option for evening meal which, with limited eating places on Shetland an additional bonus.Superb position being near St Ninian's tombolo and Isle. Well recommended

You can't find a better place on the Shetland's! Mary and Les are so friendly and generous! I can't remember to be welcomed more warmly then here. The place provides a stunning view from the living room. Very comfy seats, loads of books and videos. The rooms are very clean, the beds are nice and warm and if you want... More

I have stayed at Hayhoull several times. The house is spacious with wonderful views to St Ninian's Isle. Mary is friendliness itself and her cooking is second to none. This is a fantastic place to relax and to head out into the beautiful surroundings where natural marvels abound - a walkers' & photographers' paradise. But the friendliness makes it extra... More

I have never stayed at a better B&B. Mary and Let are genuinely nice people who put your comfort first. Wonderfully comfortable beds with good pillows (often cheap thin pillows let a place down) Immaculately clean.Luxury bathrooms with tissues, soap, body lotion, face cloths, warm towel rails and thick luxury towels. The delicious breakfast served in a lovely room overlooking... More

Mary and her family (including Clarence the incredible cat) really write the book when it comes to being a host. She is warm, chatty, considerate.... lovely little touches (earbuds and nail scissors in the bathrooms, real milk and an interesting selection of teas and a kettle in your room). For breakfast is fresh, homemade fruit salad, complete with kiwi, strawberries... More

What can a person expect from a B&B at the Shetlands situated in a small village Bigton? Well in this case a lot! Stayed there for a week and miss Mary and her kind and warm personality already (not to mention her Banoffee desert..)The rooms are very clean and have everything you need including a stunning view (think amazing sea...
