Really enjoyed my stay at Ashtree House. It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel chain. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast and overall good value. Short train journey away from glasgow. Would recommend!

A pleasant change from the usual nondescript chain hotels near airports, this is a privately owned 14 room hotel. Built in the 1940's it has no elevator, so ask for a ground floor room if stairs are a problem. Comfortably furnished and with modern bathrooms it has a dining room serving dinner and breakfast. I was leaving too early in... More

Not sure how this hotel has had anything less than 4 stars but you cant please everyone. On arrival reception was friendly and interested in our stay. We were here for graduation at the university. Shown to our room which was room 12. Plenty of space views over the garden. En suite comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Great poached eggs. Black... More

Like many reviewers, we stayed here the night before flying home. We had trouble finding the drop off for the rental car and the owner kindly lead us in his car and drove us back, giving us some history on the town along the way. Totally saved us. We were put in the first floor room so we didn't have... More

We were here is Glasgow for a week for a conference, and instead of staying in Glasgow the whole time, we thought we would go to a quaint village 15 mins from the airport and the city centre of Glasgow for something different. We chose the Ashtree House Hotel because we didnt want to stay in a traditional hotel and... More

After driving through the rains and winds of Hurricane Gonzalo on small roads, on the "wrong" side of the road, in the dark (mostly) with trucks coming at us, etc. for about 6 hours we received a very warm welcome and a warm steak pie upon our arrival (even though the kitchen had just closed!). We were also upgrade to... More

I was really impressed with the Ashtree House Hotel, tucked away in secluded gardens just off the High Street in Paisley. It is an 18th Century Silk Merchant's house beautifully converted by the current architect proprietor and full of character. The friendly staff could not do enough for their guests and the freshly cooked food in the comfortable dining room... More

I stayed in this hotel the night before my wedding in paisley town hall and for the next two nights with my husband after our wedding. The hotel is beautiful and the photos don't do it justice, the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. There was plenty of room for my hair and make up to be done. Our breakfast... More

The Ashtree Hotel is situated at the top of quiet lane in downtown Paisley. More importantly it is a 10 minute cab ride from the Glasgow airport and a 10 minute walk from train station. It is also 5 minutes walk from the top rated restaurant - Cardosi’s - that serves above average Italian food. Paisley unfortunately seems to be... More
