Just got back from the Bowfield, we went there as guests and left feeling like friends. On arrival my first thoughts were OMG it looks a mess on the outside, however, once inside we got a freindly reception, our room was big and very clean, the hotel has the best pool and spa. The first night we were there we were given a ground floor family room and got no sleep due to the people in the room above thumping around all night long. Not only did their floor (our ceiling) creak, but they seemed to be endlessly pacing the floor with no end in sight, even during the middle of the night... more

We have just returned from a 3 night break at the Bowfield and had a great time. However we had mixed feelings about the stay. The good bits were very good, but felt it was inconsistant. Booked through Late rooms, so got a fab deal. The hotel is clean and nice. A lot more character than any Hilton. The rooms were small but clean and tastefully decorated. Have stayed here a couple of times, reccommended by family. Some parts of the hotel are rather dated but we could quite happily put up with that as the leisure facilities are excellent and the local area is great for venturing out and about.
