We stayed at Murrayshall for one night with dinner, bed and breakfast. The service was excellent, the staff were all extremely helpful, in particular the reception team who were very willing and able to help with a particular problem we had. Our room was of a high standard. The food was very good at both dinner and breakfast (though dinner... More

Just had Sunday lunch in the Old Masters Restuarant, it was absolutely lovely. Staff friendly but not intrusive. Meal was 1st class. As it was Mother's Day all mothers got a wee gift, which was a nice surprise. Well worth a visit. Will definitely be back.

Just returned from a 2 night break at Murrayshall, booked via the 'Winter Warmer'deal; ironic given there was limited heating due to 'boiler' issues! Aside from cold rooms and reception areas, the food was fine and superior room quiet; albeit not at all superior! On checkout, faced with a much larger than expected bill we were told (for the first... More

Fantastic hotel. We've come here for years now and have a favourite room which we manage to get every time. Nothing is too much trouble & although we've had a few minor issues over a period of a few years I have to give 5 stars to the speed and manner they were dealt with. We've always had a suite... Great looking building surrounded by golf course and with nice views looking towards the snow covered hills towards the North. Cosy fire in comfortable bar with nice smell of woodsmoke. Well stocked bar with enthusiastic and knowledgeable barman. Quality of other staff a bit mixed. My room was classed as a suite. It was actually in one of the separate... More

Country house hotel with golf courses. Rural location but not got the stunning scenery of others. Staff variable, some excellent others just OK. Had a room in a separate building in the grounds. No lighting on paths in the middle of the night. Unable to watch TV in bed. Fair number of steps for those challenged with mobility but not... More

It is a common occurrence that guests remark on the outstanding views from the property and I am disappointed that you do not feel the same. It is the first time I have ever had a comment of this nature and I would urge any prospective guest to look at the hotels website to see the wonderful environment we enjoy.... More

This hotel would not look out of place on the set of Downton abbey!! On arrival the hotel looks spectacular as your views are of the hotel its self, the Perthshire valley in which it sits and the hotels sweeping golf course. Feeling a little out of place with my small fiat parked next to the latest Porsche, Bentley and... More

Our second February visit to Murrayshall and we have already booked for next year. The hotel is so peaceful, roaring fire in the lounge, our room this year was a little small but very clean and well kept. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and had excellent food in a restful and classy atmosphere. All the... More

Booked and paid for a superior room through Secret Escapes but we certainly did not get a superior room. If it was then the photos on the website are misleading as was the receptionist' reassurance. The room was small with no drawer space for clothes other than one small three drawer cabinet similar to those you might find under a... More
