We chose this hotel for the proximity to Nae Limits and their white water rafting (which turned out to be not very 'white'). The first thing to consider is the perilous stairs to the rooms. Not for the faint-hearted. A rather crusty place that I thought was more B&B than hotel. Dated decor and rooms. Breakfast very poor. Only highlight... More

Stopped of for a bite to eat on our way back to preston from lossimouth ,looking at the hotel we thought we would get a lovely meal we both ordered ploughmans lunch and two coffee lates. The ploughmans lunch was the worst one I have ever had,put together with no thought , and had to ask where the coffees were... More

Stayed here for two nights as attending a wedding at Blair Castle. The lounge areas and restaurant was nice and the breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly. The rooms were in need of an upgrade though, very small with TVs that were really old and didn't work well. It was also cold in the room despite it being August... More

Hotel staff attentive and very helpful, with a great bar (including a lovely bar menu). Breakfast superb. The rooms are comfortable though some of the TVs are in need of TLC as they are either too small for the size of room or 'playing' up.

Our room was small and old-fashioned but beautifully evocative of the location. The food was wonderful with a great menu available in the bar. The staff were very friendly and attentive and contributed to making our stay a memorable one.

Knowing nearby Pitlochry would be crowded, we left the main road a little early and happened across Atholl Arms Hotel. Our first thought was that it might be a bit expensive but the receptionist did a good one night deal. The common areas including dining room are quite grand and the rooms follow that theme. However there seems to be... More

Situated in Blair Atholl, almost opposite the castle, this is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel. The room was very clean and well appointed, the ensuite bathroom had a shower and bath. There was a hotel restaurant and a pub next door which served good reasonably priced food. The breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel for a... More

Visited here for a 2 night weekend stay. Staff are great, nice wee pub attached and some nice ales. The food was fine, I think a lot is reheated in the micro but in the main tasty. The hotel is a little tired with some areas that have obviously been renovated but there was a slight musky smell in the... More

This was a stop for me on a cycling trip. We arrived soaked to the skin after our descent from Drumochter Pass, to a warm welcome, and an excellent bath (large, hot and quickly filled). The rooms are large and comfortably furnished, and the ensuite is also spacious, carpeted (so warmer-feeling) and well equipped. The public areas are really quite... More

This beautiful old hotel was very close to Blair Castle. We were on the third floor with lovely views over the countryside. The rooms were really quaint with plenty of room. We dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious, especially the Cullen Skink soup! The service was prompt and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there.
