I have stayed at this hotel twice and the rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff are very pleasant and nothing is to much trouble for them. On the second visit I ate in the bar which has Moulin real ale from a micro brewery which is at their sister hotel in Pitlochry. This is excellent with a good choice,... more

Stopped to eat in the Bothy Bar and found it one of the worst meals of my life. Food was badly overcooked, which does however explain the long wait for it! Given the quality and standard of the food it was also expensive. The bar itself was so dark I felt I should have taken a torch with me. What... more

May Bank Holiday Weekend. 236 bar meals were cooked and served on the 22nd.of May 2009 with no other complaints.Infact 597 bar meals were cooked over the weekend with one complaint. As we are a highland hotel we pride ourselves in traditional hospitality. We do not take complaints lightly. It might have been more reasonable for you to make your points known to...

Plenty of character in this three star hotel - roaring log fires, tartan carpets, good malt whiskies, superb value for money with a 'five days for the price of three offer'.Rooms a little idiosyncratic but nothing we couldn't live with.Excellent location opposite Blair castle with plenty to see and do locally, skiing(snow permitting) at Glenshee an hour away.We would go back. more

I've actually stayed twice now at the Atholl Arms Hotel, June 07 and June 08. I enjoyed both stays--except for the Pub. I recommend finding a pint and a simple meal elsewhere. Both times the barkeep (the same fellow) seemed very stressed out and overwhelmed by all the customers and orders, and he was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Were I... more

We celebrated our Civil Partnership at the Atholl Arms hotel over the weekend of 29/30 August 2008. Everything ran like clockwork from start to finish....the hotel staff were very friendly and ensured that our weekend was the most memorable experience for both of us and our guests. Every part of our weekend was well organised by Heather and her team... more

Stayed at the Atholl Arms with hubby and teenaged son. Had a spacious queen sized bedroom and en suite bath for us with an adjoining smaller bedroom for son. Loved the tartan plaid decorations. Dinner was fantastic, held in a beautiful dining room with antlers on the wall. Compliments to the chef! A very comfortable accomodation in a lovely little... more

This was our third stay at the Atholl Arms. We alway book a executuve double and single room. As always, the rooms are very clean and well furnished. The atmosphere is very relexed and easy going. My teenage son always feels comfortable when we stay here. The restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is a treat, what a great start to the... more

The Atholl Arms is a charming, cozy inn in a pastoral setting near Pitlochry. We had a double room that consisted of two twin size beds and a full bath. The room offered TV with a few BBC channels, a coffee/tea service, bathroom amenities and a lovely view of the highlands. One of the interesting things was our "Lazy Lamb",... more

Very comfortable hotel & very grand looking from the outside. Rooms were small but very cosy & comfortable. Lovely tartan bedspread/curtains etc. You can't beat a bit of tartan! Dining room was very grand but we chose to eat in the public bar which was lovely & very busy. Meal was excellent as was the selection of real ales. Four... more

My partner and I stayed here for two nights on a valentines break. We got the last room available which was at the back of the hotel with no view whatsoever - The room was very dark blue Tartan and the bed was uncomfortable all in all the room could do with an overhall. I had little sleep during our... more
