My husband & I spent 2 nights at this hotel. Staff were really friendly & helpful. We had a good sized room which was very clean. Didn't use the restaurant for evening meal instead we ate in the bar. Had great meals in there. Chatted with the locals who are very friendly. Just a really good atmosphere. We would definitely... More

Enjoyed our 2 night stay, room was comfortable and clean. Bar area was cozy and friendly with a good selection of drinks. We we disappointed at not managing to get a table on our second night to eat in the bar due to there being no booking or queuing system. We did eat in the restaurant which was good, but... More

Stayed three nights at the Moulin Hotel. Staff were generally very good, especially Glen who we had a number of laughs with and who managed to cope with Mrs F being a vegetarian.. Room (superior one, more expensive) was large but quite outdated, like most of the whole hotel and general approach really. Everything was functional and clean but really... More

We were lucky enough to secure the Lilac Cottage for a few nights. It was the perfect quiet rest midway on a our road trip through Scotland. A car is definitely helpful as you are a 'wee' bit up the hill - but once there we didn't want to leave. We got our internet connection, excellent whisky, beer, and meals... More

We stopped for lunch at The Moulin Hotel and enjoyed excellent pub grub served by smiley people in historic surroundings. Good menu and choice of drinks. What more can you ask for? A liitle bit off the beaten track but well worth finding. It also has the smallest brewery in the world so you can try out their own home-brewed... More

Excellent location with very friendly staff and a well presented hotel. A very pleasant restaurant with a good menu and excellent food. Good value for money and a pleasant 15 minute walk downhill (and back up again) to Pitlochry. We will use The Moulin again for our next visit.

We had not booked anything for the night and were expecting to only get into a dump at the last minute. We reached the lonely planet book and picked the first hotel in the area it suggested which was actually being rated for its food not accomodation, so I was expecting very little. On arrival I was overwhelmed with the... More

We paid for the Superior Room this time after the Standard Room in 2009. It was somewhat larger, but not too much, abd it did have a comfortable 4 poster bed. But p staff kept saying that not much had changed, and they were right even some of the charming staff had not changed. But, what is acceptable 6 years... More

Busted recently fur a two night stay, public areas a bit dated but ok and in keeping with the hotel, room was very clean and modern with all we needed. Bar excellent with a good selection of beers and lagers and their own brew! We had a bar meal which was excellent. Happily go back again!
