Stayed here a few years ago, nothing has changed, service, rooms, views and breakfast still wonderful. From the welcome, and the spotless rooms, to James wandering around the place humming it really is a homely place. A special thank you for chilling our bottle of champagne, the anniversary card at breakfast, and also for calling ahead to allow us to... More

We have stayed at this bed and breakfast several times in the past and twice with current owners James and Kirsty Watts. It gets better every time and the porridge with cream, honey and whisky is out of this world. Already booked for next year and dreaming of the porridge!!

We stayed here for 3 nights from 27 August 2014. A spacious room at first floor level (Nethy) with great views over the valley and a lovely comfy bed and an equally spacious en-suite. There is an 'honesty' bar with a good selection of wines, beer and spirits. The breakfasts were superb, you place your 'cooked' selection the evening before... More

Lovely guest house in a quiet location, conveniently located to the centre of Pitloughry. Would highly recommend a stay here, the owners were both friendly and engaging and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms and bathroom spotlessly clean, great selection on the breakfast menu, would highly recommend the French toast!!! If we had a complaint it would be that breakfast was only served... More

Excellent room, clean, modern decor, good view over town and hills beyond. Great hospitality bar and seats in the garden to enjoy the view over a drink. Great location set back from town, lofty view, but only 10 mins walk to town for good choice of restaurants. Only criticism - I ordered continental breakfast which did not have a variety... More

Dear Annelacey, We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Regards the `Continental Selection`, we are delighted to elaborate on this element for any other guests reading this review. We have previously put the same items out on the buffet table itself, for guests to select themselves; however we threw more out than was actually consumed as most items... More

Very well appointed guest house with friendly and professional customer service. Conveniently located for local walks and five mins walk to the town centre. Would recommend if you want somewhere nice and relaxing to stay with attention to detail while visiting Perthshire and Pitlochry.

We have just stayed for 9 nights and had a great time. We moved rooms during our stay and found that both rooms were very comfortable. The first room was a suite with beautiful views, a huge bed, big tv, large bathroom and it's own fridge - we couldn't have been comfier! The second room was smaller but still very... More

Booked a 2 night break with bookings.com and what a great choice!! It was Viv's birthday whist we were away so I phoned ahead to let the guys know. A wee cake, bottle of wine and card was a lovely touch! Spotlessly clean, cosy, homely and James and Kirsty were great hosts. The honesty bar was a great place to... More

Dear david s, Many thanks for the TA review. We were pleased you both enjoyed your stay so much. Regards lack of ashtrays, we can only apologise but it subsequently appears other guests earlier that afternoon, had moved these to alternate patio tables, rather than the designated area, and we missed this.... :-( sorry - but next time please do... Spent a very good 2 days here in July 2014, Very welcoming Guest House ,although only 5 mins from main road it is up a steep hill for those with limited walking. Enjoyed the lovely fresh feel in the house and even sat in the beautiful garden one afternoon. Will be back.

Dear elaine186534, Many thanks for the TA review. Yes we only have 2 rooms that do not have the `great` views you allude to, however even these are not bad and these bedrooms in particular are very generously sized to part compensate. Very best regards, James & Kirsty Watts More
