Scotland, The Best is right. What a super place to stay and relax in the heart of Scotland. For a base to explore my stunning country, you couldn't pick better. Beautiful surroundings and welcoming guest house. And not one single bit of twee!! No complaints what so ever. Very friendly staff with a relaxed attitude and so accommodating. Breakfast was... more
My husband is not a B&B fan, preferring "known" hotel chains, but he was totally won over by Craigatin. If all B&Bs were like this one, we would never stay in a chain hotel again. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful - the porridge was the best I've ever eaten! Our room was... more
While traveling through Scotland, we stayed at 5 different hotels and B&B. Our private tour guide, Iain from "Serenity Scotland" , recommended this B&B to us. I contacted Craigtinhouse through their web address and was impressed with the quick response I received. They were very service oriented and my reservations were made without one problem. My husband and I have just returned from 2 nights at Craigatin to celebrate our wedding. This is our third visit in 18 months and it just keeps getting better. The new owners Andrea and Martin were extremely welcoming hosts and added a lovely touch by leaving a bottle of red wine in our room with a card congratulating us... more
We have been coming to Pitlochry for more years than we care to remember and stayed in a variety of hotels over those years. We have walked past Craigatin a number of times and thought how welcoming it looked and wondered what it would be like to stay there. This year (June 2008) we booked to stay for one week... more
We were attending a wedding at the Atholl Palace Hotel and were recommended by the bride's mum to stay at Craigatin and we found that to be far superior to that of the food and service at the wedding reception at the 4 star Atholl Palace! Andrea and Martin were very pleasant hosts and breakfast was superb (Apple Pancakes were... more
A truly memorable stay in a picture postacrd setting. The rooms were luxurious and by far the best accomadation I have encountered so far in the area. The hosts were attentive without being intrusive and put on a very generous breakfast. Highly recommended more
This B&B delights on the drive in. Its exactly how you would want your own conversion to be. Its all different levels with interesting corners and doors here and there. Then there is the interior! Its soooo lovely, modern muted colours which make the minimal decor still comfortable. The couple have it sooo right. Even the garden is manicured to... more
We stayed 2 nights for a short weekend break with friends.Couldn't have been better. The rooms were spotless ,comfortable and tastefully decorated. The gardens were a haven of calm and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was way above what we have had before in 4star hotels. This is definately the type of quality place which Scottish tourism needs. more
