This hotel is run by the owners, Maggie and Jim, who put a great deal of effort into the welcome they give to their guests. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff are very pleasant and the owners were always on hand to give information on local restaurants and trips into the local area, which is truly beautiful.... more

A very warm welcome and everything about our stay was intended to allow us the opportunity to relax in lovely surroundings. We have stayed in B & B's all over the world and Wellwood House is right up there with the best. This stately house is situated on a beautiful piece of property just 5 minutes walk from the center of this picturesque little town. A really good B/B value for money.Stayed 3 nights. comfortable and very clean Great scottish breakfast sets you up for a days sightseeing. Hosts were very informative and freindly. WE arrived early but managed to get our room so that let us get out and about without luggage.Will definately visit again. more
