We have stayed here before and looked forward to a four night stay in what we believed to be a newly refurbished hotel unfortunately this was not to be the case. The room that we were given had torn wall paper, mould on the bathroom ceiling, a chipped and broken toilet seat, mattresses that were as dirty and stained as... more

My wife and I spend an overnight in the Fisher’s Hotel on a DBB basis and cannot agree with the adverse reports that we have read about this hotel. We were checked in very quickly and efficiently when the receptionist took time to explain about the hotel’s facilities and meal times. OK the hotel is old and not all rooms... more

We did not stay at this hotel and frankly I would not want to, we were in pitlochry for the enchanted forest which is excellent and check in and buses leave from the Fishers' hotel. We came a fair distance and arrived early and hungry but were told by the staff that the restuarant was not open to non-residents and... more

We booked in July for an overnight stay in a double room on 31st October. Arrived at the hotel - checked in and was given the key to 625. Went to 625 - opened the door and the residents in the room came to say hello........ we had been given the key to an occupied room! Back to Reception -... more

I was a bit worried by the previous reviews but was constrained to stay at this hotel so gritted my teeth. We found the room was very pleasant (Overlooking the inner courtyard), the bathroom clean and 'adequate' (although the provided toiletries weren't very good) and the limited channel TV worked fine. Our first breakfast was chaotic, due to the coach... more

Staff coped well in difficult circumstances Our room was adequate .Bathroom ceiling in a poor state of repair and bedroom carpet requiring renewal. We thought the hotel had recently been refurbished , obviously not the annexe . The food was very disappointing. We chose not to eat in on our third night. The staff seemed to find breakfast service difficult. On three occasions seating... more

My wife and I booked through Easybreaks as we have done before. The last time we were at Fishers was about 14 years ago and we were put in the new, (at that time), extension. This time we were again placed there and now it looks 114 years old. The carpet in the bedroom was worn and dirty, there was... more

Bad experience all round. Poorly serviced rooms, unhelpful staff, poor food (except breakfast) in a dining room too gloomy to see your plate. more
