I recently stayed here for a wedding. Firstly the views are stunning and the grounds are lovely. The room however was nice but needing a bit of TLC. Both tea cups had chips on the rims, the lamp had stains on it. the toilet bowl was stained with two brown lines - a bit of bleach daily would remove this.... More

I was part of a large group, everything went really well until our meal was delayed by 1 and half hrs. The meal that was served to us was overcooked, dry and tasteless. The breakfast was a lot better. The rooms varied from beautiful and spacious to small and felt like they were in the basement. The grounds and views were... More

This is a beautiful historic hotel in a gorgeous setting. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and we honestly didn't wan to leave. The rooms were beautifully appointed period rooms (we had a double) and I was struck by the overall cleanliness of the hotel. I would expect that given the price-point, however, I've seen some pretty unruly... More

My husband & I have brought many small groups to this hotel in the past. We always enjoyed our stay until this time. In the past we have been treated as guests of the hotel - this time it was treatment that can only be described as a hotel with a "Bed 'em, board 'em and boot 'em out" attitude.... More

We stumbled upon this beautiful palace hotel driving through Pitlochry and what a find. I would advise anyone in the area looking for a bed or as a destination to stay here. the grounds are 30 acres of gardens, lush grass a forrest and stream and a 9 hole"chip and putt" rustic golf course, as well as a lovely pool and... My wife and I stayed here for three nights whilst visiting an Aunt to celebrate a 90th birthday celebration locally. Beautiful old hotel in a stunning setting with friendly staff and good food. Comfortable, good sized double room at the front, with a large modern en suite. Nice whisky liqueur offered on arrival, so much so we bought a bottle... More

Stayed for 1 night to visit the Atholl Highland Games. The hotel is very grand, and impressive. The room was a little basic, and slightly dated (not with antiquities, just slightly old furnishings). However it was comfortable and clean with an adequate en suite and stunning views. The location and setting for the hotel is fantastic and the restaurant at... More

A wonderful, grand historical hotel with friendly, helpful staff and REALLY good food. My teenage sons enjoyed the facilities, tennis, swimming, billiards, pool, putting and we all enjoyed the peace and calm and superb views. Try a turret suite - the views are out of this world. Nothing quite like it! Pitlochry is a busy town in summer and has... More
