I stayed here during a wedding weekend and have to say the grounds were lovely. I was highly disappointed with the water supply to the shower and television not working. The breakfast was nice however was far to busy and service was non existent. I won't be staying here again and won't be recommending it to anyone.

It would be a mistake to stay at this magnificent old hotel that commands the scenery above Pitlochry and expect more than what it has to offer. This includes a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, a rich history, indoor spa area with the best complex of pools I've enjoyed in a hotel and beautiful grounds with a pleasant 9 hole... More

I can't comment too much on the hotel itself except first impressions - beautiful big building from the outside which could be amazing with some serious investment and updating. We only really saw the large lobby area and the way down to the spa so I don't know what the rooms are like. We came across some fairly interesting carpets... More

If you are expecting a modern international hotel then you will be disappointed. The Atholl Palace Hotel is one of those grand British provincial hotels, 150 years old, with all that that entails. The floors creak, the doors have keys (yes keys - not plastic swipe cards that only work when they feel like it), the public rooms are grand... More

Stayed for two days as a special treat for family. The hotel is a lovely large hotel, the bedroom was room if a bit too hot. I cannot fault the staff in the hotel and the spa they were great everybody was helpful friendly. We had fabulous treatments in the Spa where you could relax as long as you liked... More

12 of us had a weekend long celebration of my Mum's 80th Birthday at the Atholl Palace. They couldn't do enough to help and they made us all feel welcome and my Mum feel very special indeed. The manager remained calm even when we accidentally set off the general fire alarm with the use of overly energetic candles on the... More

we booked for lunch on Sun. the menu was lovely and very well priced £18 95 for 3 courses- and a nice choice. frist course served very quickly, then we waited almost 45 mins. for our main plates to be cleared and our dessert served- by then there only seemed to be one waiter serving the whole dining area. This... More

Was sorry to note you would not return to our hotel. I note you enjoyed the setting and the general visit however I do apologise the service in the restaurant was found to be lacking. There was indeed more than one team member on duty but we were taken on the hop with the number of customers dining on that... More

Treated my now fiancé to a relaxing spa day and we were not disappointed with what we got. Simply excellent! The pool was shut due to having a leak but we understand that these things can happen and this did not bother us as we both agreed that our treatments more than made up for this. Staff were excellent both... More

We have just had a two night stay at The Atholl Palace Hotel...Pitlochry. It really is a stunning building set in beautiful grounds. Our bedroom was lovely if overwarm at times. However, we found the food very disappointing. We were served very tough steaks... inedible...staff agreed and replaced them with some very nice duck...unfortuately it was served on a pile... More

Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us. We are a poplar wedding venue which is nothing different to most hotels that have a function suite and grounds but I am sorry it seemed to impact on your enjoyment. On a positive note I thank you for your comments re the property in general. I was surprised... More

Really disappointed in this splended looking building in lovely grounds. Staff are definitely the best part of our stay , We are meant to be staying in a four star hotel , to be honest I have stayed in better travel lodges . Room cold on arrival floorboards very loose to the point that the furniture bouncing every time you... More
