We have just returned from one nights stay here. Booked through Laterooms for £85 b&b. We were given an attic room which was very small with coombed ceilings - just as well we are not tall or we would have to duck all the time. When we asked at reception if there were any larger rooms she said they were... more
We stayed in the Pine Trees for 3 nights recently and found it to be an excellent hotel. We were going for a break with our children aned my wife's parents and chose the Pine Trees as my wife's Great Aunt had worked there in the hotel's temperance heyday and my mother in law wanted to return. Recent reviews were... more
Very attractive property. Clean, comfortable room (despite the fact that I was in a single, which is usually an excuse for a substandard room). The staff were always polite, and even came out in the pouring rain to show me where to park my car. The only think I can fault is the breakfast. It was OK, but that's all.... more
I stayed here with my boyfriend the weekend before xmas (sorry for late review !) We called into the hotel on spec as we had not booked a room in advance. The lady on reception was very nice and gave us a room on the 1st floor which was a good size and had nice furnishings. The bathroom was not... more
Hotel is lovely, atop a hill, and only ten minutes' walk from the rail station and the interesting town of Pitlochry, which includes a local distillery well worth visiting. Our family party of six adults, including Canadians from Toronto and others from London and elsewhere in the U.K., had a hugely enjoyable time for four days between Christmas and New... more
Our suite was sumptious & clean & there was a huge roaring log fire every night which was superb after a day's walking but there was no-one hosting the place. As things stand it's a lovely country house but it's run by a young team of staff who seem to have learnt about hospitality from an old Eastern European textbook.... more
Visited the hotel for a weekend break in April. Found the atmosphere cosy, particularly in light of the Scottish weather! Decent sized rooms too. Evening meal an enjoyment, a real local flavour to the menu and lots of chioce, and all was delicious. Well recommended. more
I recently enjoyed a weekend break at the Pine Trees Hotel in Pitlochry and have to say I was delighted. Set in a secluded location, the Hotel was picturesque and the room was spacious, warm and welcoming. I ate both nights in the Restaurant and the food was lovely. Fresh, tenderly cooked beef was a treat and the selection of... more
Just had the best time this weekend at the Pintrees Hotel. Food and drink were fantastic and the 8 inces of snow really made the setting look beautiful The hotel did a great job of clearing the snow for our deparure Sunday evening- in some ways I wish they hadn't and would be forced to stay. As Londoners, myself and... more
