Having looked at the easy to use hotel chain web site, we booked a two night mid-week DB&B stay in a double ensuite direct with the hotel at a special spring rate. Our room in the old part of the building, was small but comfortable and recently decorated and everything worked. Found both breakfast and dinner to be a good... more

just returned from spending a night at this hotel. Found it to be lovely in a fantastic location. The room was a bit small, but otherwise clean and welcoming. The dining room was large and the meals were fantastic. The staff were fine and very attentive. All in all I would recommend this as a pleasant hotel in a beautiful... more

I have just returned from a weekend spent at the Scotland's hotel with mixed emotions. I read all the reviews from people saying "terrible" and other similiar criticisms as well as the other reviews with positive comments and after reading them my head was in a daze. But seeing as I'd already booked the trip it didn't really matter anyway.... more

Nice location, but, for the price, I have stayed in much better hotels. The room, en-suite, was OK,but the standard of cleaning left a lot to be desired. A good dust and polish would have been in order. The lift (elevator) is quaint ! Take the stairs if you can. On the plus side, the food is above average for... more

Stayed at Scotland's Hotel overnight on business, and it was very comfortable indeed - don't be put off by the pokey reception desk area! My double room on the second floor of the main hotel had recently been refurbished, with a great sleigh bed, sitting area and new bathroom with decent shower (hoorah!). The views over the hills from my... more

Stayed for a Christmas party night all inclusive. Room was fine, if a little small but I only slept there. Shower was good though. Dinner was excellent. Beer was not good. Entertainment was a disco which was okay after a number of beers. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Enjoyed it. more

We booked this hotel for two nights through 241.ClassicBritain website. I only read the reviews after I had made the booking so I was a bit concerned about what we may experience. When we checked in the staff were friendly and although they had not had our booking on their system were happy to proceed with the copy of the... more

Stayed one night and sooooo glad we did not stay another. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. From rude bar staff to small cramped room we could not find many redeeming features for this hotel. The facade of the hotel promises much but once inside it started to go downhill, ok-ish check-in but not very welcoming,... more
