This was our second visit to the hotel and was as good as the first. Where the bad reviews come from I do not know! We had been wary of small hotels but this has definitely changed our minds. Very efficient and welcoming booking-in and our room again was well decorated and furnished and room and bathroom spotlessly clean. The... more

We decided to pack the car & visit all the wee local towns we normally shoot through on our way up north.Just have a few relaxiing few days. We looked on the net & found the Knockendarroch. After checking tripadvisor it looked that it was highly recommended. We were not disapointed. On arrival we were shown to the "Tummel View"... more

A wonderful hotel , a great room, as we had a small sitting room, nice and cosy. The food is very good, the chef is very good, self taught. We rcommend the chicken breast stuffed with haggis in a whisky cream sauce. A good selection of single malt whisky for whisky lovers more

We recently returned from 2 nights at the Knockendarroch and can't wait to go back and visit again. The room was lovely and very clean and had a great view out over Pitlochry over towards the A9. Best of all were the two homemade cakes that awaited us in our room - just a really lovely welcome. The food was... more

I had not stayed in a hotel this small for ages and was apprehensive at what I would find. My fears proved unfounded as myself and young daughter received a warm welcome from the owner and were shown to our very spacious bedroom. The decor was not modern but very charming and suited the Victorian house and every where was... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night during the end of February 2009. We paid £130 dinner, bed and breakfast and this was a total rip off. There is nothing specifically wrong with the hotel but nothing special about it whatsoever. The rooms need upgrading, the food is average and the service is just ok. I would rather have... more

Braved the snow to stay in this lovely old victorian hotel in elevated position with fine views. Our room was spacious warm and comfortable. However shower room dated. We were only people staying that night and owners made us feel very welcome. Food Ok. Good breakfast. more

We stayed in the Knockendarroch House Hotel in February 2009 and would recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from the centre of Pitlochry and is very comfortable. It has a lot of charm and character as this is a family run establishment in an old house. The manageress was friendly and welcoming, the room... more
