This was our second visit to the Birchwood Hotel. We came to ride the Caledonia Etape 81 mile cycle challenge. The Birchwood Hotel is an excellent venue for the event. Close to the start. Warm and friendly. The hotel even provides a garage to store your bike safely. The food is good Scottish Fare. Overall an excellent stay.

This is a very good value hotel with simple but smart, clean comfort. The rooms have heated towelrails and an electric blanket. The host and his wife are charming and helpful and the food is very good and courteously served. This was my second visit and I hope it will not be my last.
