Short of somewhere to eat at lunchtime we dropped into the Killiecrankie House Hotel, more in hope than expectation. What a great surprise we had, a warm welcome, delightful staff and a lunch menu to satisfy all tastes. This is a delightful spot to stop for a good meal.

Just a one night stay this time, but the usual warm welcome by Henretta, Calum and the Team, One immediately feels at ease and at home here. Very good dinner with the trouble taken to present a separate menu already tweaked for the gluten free diner. Comfy room and excellent breakfast to follow, again with plenty of choice for GF.... the hotel is situated in a beautiful garden where one can sit out if the sun ever shines. We had a deluxe room which was bright and airy and overlooked the aforesaid garden. Our bed was perhaps on the small side but comfortable. As with most old country houses the bathroom was also compact but adequate with separate bath and... More

It is a rare quality to get things just right, but Killiecrankie hotel does just that - and without any fuss or pretentiousness. It is an exceptionally little gem of a place, from the location to the management, staff and (I may start gushing here) the food. We could not have been better pleased.

It was a delight having you and your parents here and I am so grateful too you for writing such a wonderful little review! I still feel guilty having sent you for that walk, that you required rescuing from the Theatre, but at least you weren't still on the path and were able to shelter! I hope very much that... More

We were visiting the area for a car Club Concours event at Blair Castle and what better way to treat ourselves than to stay at this fine establishment, the Killiecrankie Hotel. We have been looking forward to staying here for a number of years and we we were not disappointed. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed in by the... More

Wow - thank you so much - we are collectively blushing to the roots of our hair at the wonderful comments in your review! We loved having you both to stay with us and your car certainly added a little je ne sais quoi to the parking area in front of the hotel! I just hope it won't be too... More

Arrived here for our evening meal as it seemed a cut above the usual pub/small hotel. While the greeting from the owner and the attentive staff were a big plus the food was not what I would expect for the price. We ate in the less formal surroundings of the bar/conservatory and it was very welcoming. Also had the best... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your visit. I am sorry that in spite of so many positives, you had a couple of negatives that clearly coloured your view of your experience. I am not sure what your expectations of the Bar Conservatory were but the menu changes about once a month and with so many... More

Enjoyed everything about this small and intimate hotel, from Henrietta's warm welcome to the ultimately cozy sitting room to the excellent dinner. Also had a great hike to the pub/brewery in Moulin for an excellent lunch - about 6 km each way on a very good path. Felt so much at home that it was hard to leave.

Stayed here last week while working nights in the area. Owner & staff were absolutely fantastic. Could not be any more helpful & charming. Rooms are clean with nice decor & beds very comfortable. The meals were fantastic & the hotel is very popular with locals for a bite to eat which says it all Would definitely stay here again... More

We always kind of worry about going back to somewhere that was previously awesome because it just may not match up to expectations. No fear of that here. A customary warm welcome from Henrietta and Calum. Great food, very comfortable rooms, phenomenal scenery and wildlife, superb walks, incredible area......and we had great weather too.....bonus!!

We stayed for two nights in mid-late May and thought this was a lovely hotel with welcoming staff, great food and located in a scenic part of the world. It was disappointing though to find the central heating turned off, although there were electric radiators on the bedroom walls. After turning our bedroom radiator to its highest setting for several... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay with us in May. I am so sorry you found the house cold. We don't have central heating in the bedrooms, apart from your room which used to be the Drawing Room many years ago - it enjoys wonderful views to the west which you don't get downstairs,... More
