The Poplars is situated in a beautiful place with a lovely view. Our host Jerry was most hospitable and the breakfast was delightful! Our room was beautiful with a large picture window, a sunny place to relax. The bath room was huge and also the tub, which is a treat in UK.

Karin & Roger Switzerland Again some superb days in "The Poplars" at the “Gateway to the Scottish Highlands”. Best place to go to if you want to be near the „Cities“ but not far from the many stunning “attractions” like Queens-View, Loch Lomond and many more. Hosts make your stay like “home from home”. Never had better breakfast (try the... More

My parther and I stayed here on the last night of our 5 day trek along the Rob Roy Way and what a perfect end to the week. Jerry was the perfect host making us very welcome and advising us on where to go for our evening meal which was excellent. The house is magnificent and our room was more... More

We spent our first visit to The Poplars over Easter and can't wait for a return visit in summer when we can sit out in the garden and enjoy the views of the the magnificent hills. Gerry and his lovely family made this a memorable occasion, beautiful room with large en-suite, excellent breakfasts and lovely scenery.

My grown son and I stayed two separate nights on a recent trip to Scotland. The hosts were very professional and helpful. The breakfast was really a treat. On the second night we stayed in a small (and inexpensive) room on the second floor; it was a little cramped for two. The home is easy walking distance to all the... More

As a number of other reviewers have stated this is a quality small guesthouse where the welcome is genuine and the fixtures and fittings are of a high quality. The level of service is a credit to the owners and they demonstrate how a small B & B should be run. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a warm friendly B&B which is more like a hotel than some hotels I have stayed in! The room was comfortable with everything possible included to make it like home from home. We were given information on an evening meal which we followed and had a really good dinner. The breakfast was wonderful and the whole place is... More
