We stayed overnight at The Poplars, and had a lovely warm welcome from Nathalie and Jason, they recently took over the property and are presently upgrading. Room was spotless, magnificent views in the morning with the house in an elevated position. Jason's breakfast was delicious, and with the house walking distance from the town centre, made a pleasant stroll on... More

We have stayed at "The Poplars" on several occasions but this time we met the new owners Jason & Nathalie a delightful couple. Stayed a couple of nights at the beginning of November as we were going to see "The Steamie" and do some Christmas shopping in the town. Jason is the chef and his Breakfasts were excellent, we will... More

This is a truly wonderful b&b with fantastic hosts. The house is elevated overlooking Pitlochry to the right and wonderully tucked away from the main road, so it is very peaceful. The town centre is a 10 min stroll through a quiet back street. aroom was very spacious, neat and clean. The house is fabulous. Loved the breakfast. Overal a... More

Being directed to Poplars from one of the other local B+Bs being full, we were pleasantly surprised by the nice place. For the family of four we got two rooms, a simpler one for the kids (room 4) and really nice room with a view and big bathroom for parents (room 1). Lot of advice from the owner on places... More

Every once in a while when you're traveling around, you come across a place to stay that's really nice. This is that place. Owner Gerry Tait is friendly and welcoming. His B&B is on a hill overlooking the rest of the town, yet close enough to the main street that you can walk there. Our room was sizable, with an... More

We had room 8 on the ground floor. A family room with a very comfortable king and a single. It was so quiet and cool especially with the warm humid weather. Great dining and sitting room so you didn't have to stay in your room there was somewhere else to sit. The views were great too from the garden. Lots... More

Start with Gerry - the owner. You could not get a more friendly and helpful chap - permanent natural smile. The house is beautiful inside and out and all facilities are top notch. Food good, bed good and great location. Great value for money also tops it. We will be back next year - for longer this time now we... More

Stayed two nights, received a warm welcome with lots of advice on places to visit in the area. A comfortable room with wonderful views. A tasty and generous cooked breakfast with a buffet table of cereals, fruit and other delicious things in the unlikely event you were still hungry. Very attentive staff. We will recommend to friends and will certainly... More
