This was our 4th visit to the hotel and have always loved the experience, but alas the four poster room (romantic rendevous package) was a major let down, the bed was so soft we nearly disappeared through it, and could barely move from sore joints in the morning, the bathroom had broken tiles ( sore on the bare feet) which to... more

Just back from a stay at Dunalistair Hotel and was totally impressed with everything. We took our 6 month old puppy and were made to feel totally at home. The rooms were wonderful and the staff well above average. The food was excellant. A truly wonderful hotel experience. Cannot think of anything to be improved upon. We chose the four... more

I love this hotel and have returned many times to it's foibles and it's very unique charm. The location is excellent a very beautiful area. The hotel is small enough to feel like you are in a pravate house. We stayed this time for Valentine weekend, ejoyed the free bottle of bubbly and chocolates in the room with a wonderful... more

Myself and my partner went here for Valentines special weekend and had a fantastic time!! The staff were lovely, the food superb and the hotel quaint! We stayed in one of the spa rooms (upgraded at no extra charge) which was great. Ok, the room definately was a bit dated and the curtains could have been hung up better and... more

Just returned from the Dunalastair and paid £218 in total for the two of us for a 2 night break in the spa room with Dinner,Bed and Breakfast..not a bad deal even if this only covered breaks taken in February and and excluded Fri/ Sat nights. Being February obviously its important that the heating system actually works properly. Unfortunately our... more

We stayed here on one of their 'activity' deals, and got whitewater rafting, bed & breakfast, and dinner all included. The phrase "Dinner included" usually makes my heart sink, as you almost always get horrible microwaved lasagne or tired chilli. So we were very pleased to get a VERY good meal in the cosy restaurant. Had a different experience to... more

We have just returned from a week, inc the Christmas break, and we loved this hotel. It was friendly and welcoming and has bags of character. Our bed was extremely comfortable and there was a constant supply of hot water in the roomy, deluge shower. We took our dogs who were made very welcome. Curling up on one of the... more

We arrived on the Saturday and got a lovely welcome from the cheery receptionist who showed us round the place before heading to our room. The fire was on in reception and it was a nice setting to arrive to, especially as it was minus five degrees outside! The room was clean and comfortable but on the smallish side -... more

I booked this hotel via Classic Britain for myself, hubby and 2 teenage sons. We were greeted at the front desk and shown the surroundings and given the keys to our room. The rooms are adequate and maybe could do with a little bit of care but for the price we paid I couldn't argue. We booked for dbb and the... more
