Nice warm welcome. Overall good value for money. Room wasn’t huge but nice and clean. Good menu with decent portions and good service. Same menu in bar or restaurant – very relaxed atmosphere. Nice breakfasts. Recommended. more

Very comfortable and friendly hotel with good food. Views outside outstanding and only a few minutes walk into town. Appears freshly decorated and some room furnishings and bathroom appeared almost new. Prices in January were very reasonable. more

We have just returned from a week-end trip showing Canadian relations around some of Scotland's wonderful scenery and were very fortunate to spend our first night at the Westland - what a start - lovely rooms, friendly and helpful staff and fabulous food! Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. more

The hotel was one of the most plesant I have ever stayed in. The staff was excellent and well versed in their duties. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay a pleasure. Food was excellent-one of the best places we ate during our stay. I have no hesitation in reommending The Westlands to anyone. more
