This hotel occupies a large old building, no lift and lots of creaky stairs, right in the centre of town. We had a decent sized room on the top floor, well furnished and equipped. Super size and quality breakfast - including haggis as part of a traditional Scottish Breakfast. Nice lounges and well stocked bar. We were guests at a... More

Nice hotel although older style the room looked as if it was recently refurbished with new shower and toilet and new furnishings. Well situated for the city centre and the Concert Hall. Nice choice for breakfast and what was served was nicely done. Only drawback was overnight parking, the hotel does have a very small car park but it was... More

We were welcomed by a lovely young lady who was very helpful. Our room was upgraded to a spacious mini suite with windows we could open....best nights sleep. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of town so very well located. Breakfast was great with a selection of cereals and fruits followed by freshly cooked bacon and... More

Based on Booking.com thought this hotel would have been special to celebrate my 66th birthday but was i wrong - the place is so poorly staffed I helped the receptionist carry another guests large suitcases up the stairs to their room I booked a mini suite as a special treat for my wife thinking it would be special (this is... Went for a high-tea with my partner and we were left very disappointed indeed. The staff were ignorant, sullen and unhelpful, the food was very poor, the toast must have been sitting ages as it was cold (we weren't asked if we wanted brown or white bread) and the cakes were stodgy.

Firstly this is solely my experience and 100% genuine. I have just stayed at this hotel for several nights. The hotel is in an excellent location right on the river Tay and excellent for the town centre of Perth. The hotel and room were very good and the room I had was above average with a luxurious bathroom. The wifi connection... More

We travelled to The Royal George Hotel for a 4 night stay with Concerts in Perth and Dunkeld. Prior to our arrival the Hotel and staff were superb in assisting us with the bookings, room and meal arrangements. We received a warm Scottish welcome on arrival, check was excellent given that there were over 70 of us!. Throughout our stay... More

The Royal George hotel was everything I could have wished for. It is large enough to cater to the needs of a large and sociable group like ours, but was small enough to maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were helpful, knowledgable, and professional, and made us feel at home. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the... More

Very nice hotel on the banks of the River Tay in the heart of Perth. Good location near to the museum and adjacent to the shopping centre. Requested early check in at 12.15pm as I was expecting a two hour conference call to which hotel agreed. Reservation made by American Express which was all in order including my request for... More
