Stayed a few times now at the Royal George. Stayed in the Tay Suite last couple of visits overlooking the old Perth Bridge over the River Tay. Very comfortable room which large bathroom. Staff and food outstanding. Excellent location and highly recommend to others

Just had a family wedding here and cannot praise the hotel or staff high enough. Very friendly and attentive but all very relaxed and unfussy. The meal was enjoyed by all guests and generous portions made sure even the hungriest we're catered for. Very swift service so no tables were left waiting for long. So thank you to Eddie, Gary... We attended a friends wedding recently at this hotel and had a brilliant day. The staff were fantastic, weren't intrusive but couldn't have done any more to assist. A special mention to the bar man Michael, he overheard us asking the rest of the party what they would like to drink and before we turned round to ask he was... More

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of Perth. It is very close to the concert hall, shops and some really nice restaurants. It is also right on the banks of the River Tay, so the views are lovely. Despite its central location, the hotel is nice and quiet. Inside, the lobby and bar area are rather... More

This is a nice hotel combining old-fashioned charm with newly decorated bedrooms. My only gripe was that the bed was not great - it was a pretty cheap mattress, I think - the surface was heavily patterned with stitching which made it feel bumpy, it wasn't a bit comfortable. And the duvet was slightly too big for the duvet cover... More

Had a day out, including lunch here yesterday – a treat from my mother-in-law for a significant(!) birthday. I got to choose the venue (we travelled from Paisley) and plumped for the Royal George for its riverside location. Glad I did – it was the best lunch I’ve had in ages, and my m-i-l agreed. Great food, well cooked and... More

I booked in on spec; needing a place to stay while in Perth on business. What a lovely find. I had a long drive so was tired. but as soon as I walked in I felt comfortable. Comfy leather chairs, old fashioned decor (which I really like) and a really warm welcome from the receptionist. The lounge bar has sofas... More

A lovely hotel in a lovely position... very handy for the concert hall, which was the reason we were there. However it was the staff that made the stay here so exceptional... there were 8 of us, including four pensioners... we never felt like we were an inconvenience, in fact we were made to feel totally welcome from the moment... I was staying here after working at the local Concert Hall recently. I must say I was really impressed. The hotel is star rated as a 3 star and the service I received was great. On check in I was greeted by a friendly young lady who explained the breakfast routine to me and explained how to get to my... More
