Great to have an old fashioned Sunday high tea.Good choice on menu then scones on a cake stand with fresh cream meringues and as much tea or coffee as you like.Lovely views looking over the River Tay while having your high tea, served by very well dressed staff. Very reasonably priced and good value for money. Would advise booking on... More

I found myself stranded in Perth because of the great storm a couple of days ago - having stayed at another hotel for the past two nights, I called the George, obtained a great price and checked in. I was put in the Royal Stewart Room - ok, it doesn't have a river view but I was only there for... More

This is a nice enough hotel with lots of really good points, however this review is based on the old adage that one or two negative issues can ultimately undo a truck-load of good ones. The room was very nice and offered everything one would expect, further enhanced by the fact I was lucky enough to get a rear facing... More

Had a family meal in the George this week. Excellent service, tasty food and good value for money. The Hotel is in a super location with views over the Tay river. Thank you to the staff for making our party a success. More

I have stayed at the hotel for a few years when on business and can honestly say that Mr and Mrs Anderson and all the staff have always looked after me fantastically well; always helpful. The rooms are a good size, many with a river view, food is great and always plenty of custard for that crumble or sticky toffee... More

Really enjoyed our stay here - room with view over the river was lovely. Breakfast really excellent. Staff lovely. Only gripe is the very small car park - took ages to manoeuvre out. More

Stayed at the George for one night while attending a gig at the theatre. We booked a mini suite and it was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in for a long time, well worth the extra £20! Check in was swift, all staff very helpfuly. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend, probably the best hotel in... More
