I stayed here for a night at the end of April 2008 on business. Hotel The approach to the hotel is amazing. Through the countryside and then up a long semi-steep driveway until you reach the hotel at the top. It’s a very old traditional Scottish brick building – exactly the sort of hotel you’d expect in Scotland! The interior... more

Stayed for a wedding. First off, on booking we were asked for 50% non refundable deposit!! This is a first for us, never had anything like this anywhere else we've stayed!! Any refund in event wedding was called off would be at management discretion - mmm - not a good start! Only special request I made was to ask for... more

My wife and I had a wonderful romantic weekend at Murrayshall. The location is in a beautiful setting with woodland and a golf course. Looking west and north there is a magnificant panorama of the Scottish Highlands which were snow covered. We had a lovely superior room. As other folk suggest the bathroom was a little tired looking but nevertheless... more

Just returned from a two night stay at this overpriced and over rated hotel. Our room was tiny with a view of a wall and next to a loud generator which kept us awake. The wardrobe emitted a very unpleasant smell and we have since had to throw away the clothes we put in there. To top it off, there... more

We stayed for one night, together with firends, at this really first class hotel. I would recommend it highly. The rooms were well sized, decorated pleasantly and very clean. We enjoyed dinner in the Old Master's restaurant wand were impressed with the quality of the food, the extent of the wine list and the professionalism of the staff; it couldn't... more

Just back from a one night stay at Murrayshall and glad to say it was a very nice stay. The location is fabulous and the view from our (superior) room right over the golf course to the hills beyond was wonderful. The food was excellent and the staff and service really made the stay for us. The golf courses looked... more

I just wanted to stay that my wife and I had a splendid time at Murrayshall Hotel. The fine dining restaurant is the highlight of the hotel. Staff were very obliging and were there when required. Finally, I must thank Tony Bryan and his wife Sylvia for their fantastic hospitality. Cheers Bryan Leslie Sydney, Australia more

I felt that I just had to write a review following the previous reviewers unkind and in my view unjust comments. Our last visit to the hotel was late Jan and once more we were looked after by a warm and attentive team of staff. Like every hotel you would visit occasionally things can go wrong but it is how... more
