The hotel is in a very good central location it also has what appeared to be a small amount of patron parking spaces. Loved the fact it was in an old water mill, sadly the room and dining room smelt like they too had been in some water, they had that old smell, In fact the dining room smelt like... More

Good points: - Central location - Nice looking from the outside, and the water-mill in the reception is a smart feature. Bad points: - Shocking food and terrible restaurant service. Normally cold, made with cheap ingredients and often tasteless. Not something you want after having to wait over an hour for a table, despite the restaurant being half full, they could've... More

Thank you for your recent review of the Mercure Perth hotel. I was pleased that you liked the location and traditional style of the hotel, with our very unique features and the mill race running through the Reception and lounge areas. I was, however, so disappointed with your comments regarding your dining experience. We receive such lovely comments about our... More

Lovely hotel, reception areas are very well laid out but rooms are in need of a makeover. I stayed in a twin room in a very small single bed, also the room got very hot and opening the window meant listening to city centre hustle and bustle. A fan or air con is much needed. Staff are excellent

Stayed for 2 nights late November and found it very convenient for the town centre shopping and parking. We had the wife's aunt in a wheelchair so it was very convenient, 5 - 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Friendly & professional staff, good food and comfortable facilities although it was fairly quiet in the evenings when we... More

I stayed in this hotel over 20 years ago and it seems that little has changed in the intervening yeras. Reception and the public areas are good enough but as you proceed towards the bedrooms the shabbiness starts to show. cot and vacuum cleaner in the corridor ( isn't there a cupboard?) Corridor has obviously been recently painted but sadly... More

My friends and I came to the Mercure hotel for a girls overnight on Saturday 22nd November. It was the day the Christmas lights were being switched so the hotel had a lovely festive atmosphere about it. The exterior of the building was inviting and once inside the reception it had an impressive water wheel feature which added to the... More
