Stayed here for 2 nights for a spa day/perth races. Really handy for the train station and the taxi rank at the station. Lovely Russian gentleman (who i think may be the manager) was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was nice - scrambled eggs on toast and a lovely fresh fruit selection. The triple room we had was huge -... More

I stayed here for two nights booking through a late availability web site when my regular hotels in the area were full. It is a grand building that is well situated. The public areas could do with an update but they are clean. Likewise, the furnishing of the room is a little dated but it was clean and the bed... More

Very handy place for coming off the train. We went in here for some drinks and to meet people before heading to our hotel. Bar staff are lovely and helpful. Prices are to be expected for a hotel. Nice comfy seating area in the bar.

I found reception staff very helpful and happy to help. Unable to comment on food as didn't eat there. However my room was badly in need of decoration as were the corridors to the rooms. It was ok for one night but wouldn't stay again.

Mmmmm Just not good, lady on reception could not care, why do hotels put people that are rude and there face would split if they smiled on reception? Room was in attic and not very clean very poor for the money charged.

We have visited the Salutation on several occasions for 'High Tea' as part of an included coach trip. We are never disappointed, the fare is basic [choice of fish, steak pie, chicken or ham salad] and the staff do a great job serving [what can sometimes be] several coach parties. There is bread and butter with jam and marmalade followed by a selection... More

It's a nice hotel in a central location. Room could have been doing with an upgrade, but was still a nice place to spend the night! Breakfast was good too! I would definitely recommend it, and would stay again.

Mid-range hotel, that provided accomodation for 5 people with 2 separate rooms within the same. The floor was crooked though and pipes in the bathroom but the service came before the evening and fixed it. Surprinsingly cheat for the spacious room we got. Ok hotel to stay overnight during your roadtrip.

Arrived here from Aberdeen on our Rail tour of Scotland. This was the final stop on our tour and our base for five days. It's just across the forecourt from the station exit therefore very handy.Reception staff were very friendly and helpful providing a map of the locality and directions to the town centre. Local and regional bus services are available... More

Hotel was ingreat location for shops, bars etc. we paid for a deluxe room and it was fine. Hotel does need an upgrade but I have no complaints with cleanliness or service. Very handy for the railway station.
