Approx a year ago I had a meal at The Old Loans Inn Troon and as a direct result of this meal avoided ever indulging at this restaurant again. This evening,I was out looking for a suitable place to eat and thought I'd give The Gailes Restaurant a try.(owned I believe by the same group that own the Old Loans... More

This was my first stay at the Gailes and it was for a single night. I was due to be in the area for 4 nights but had to stay in 2 other Hotels for various reasons. I decidedly would have preferred to spend all my time at the Gailes. The room was large, comfortable, well appointed and very clean.... More

Very large room with huge comfortable bed and bathroom with bath and shower over. Lovely toiletries. The shower head was fixed and quite high up and there was no complimentary shower cap, but that was the only (very trivial) negative. Had dinner in the hotel both nights. The food was excellent with a varied menu with something for everyone and... More

I have been using the Gailes for some time now whenever I am working in the area and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The rooms are huge, great shower and great bathroom - massive telly and bed is vast. The restaurant is brilliant, great food and brilliant, friendly service, only slight issue is the place could probably do with a... More

We were honoured to be invited to a lovely wedding at the Gailes Hotel and also stayed the night afterwards. Throughout the wedding all the staff were so attentive, smiling and shared the wedding experience which was fantastic. We all had our own waiter/waitress and the Maître d coordinated the whole event with distinction. The facilities were very good and... More

We stayed as a family of 3 on our way to Arran, finding the hotel at the last minute due to a mix up with the hotel we were meant to be staying at. On check-in, the lady on reception was very friendly, which was to be a common theme in the hotel. The room was functional without being exceptional,... More

Staying at the gailes hotel on marymass night, dropped our bags off before checkin, went back to the hotel around 7 to checkin, very fast, bags already taken to the room which was a nice touch. Ordered room service and the food was great and arrived in a decent amount if time. Clean, very comfortable, good size rooms, pleasant staff... More
