Booked this hotel for the Commonwealth games in Glasgow. As you can imagine, hotels in Glasgow sold out pretty quickly, and the ones left were extortionate pricing. This hotel was very close to Irvine station with great links into Glasgow, which didn't pose a problem at all. The hotel itself is incredibly outdated - the rooms were very stuffy with... More

Firstly I just like to thank the reception & restaurant staff as they were all extremely friendly and helpful. Sadly that's the only positive element of the entire hotel. For some reason the rooms get very hot and there's no air conditioning, not a thing you'd expect would be needed in Scotland but it certainly is here. In an attempt... More

On a short two night stay with my husband over the heat wave. all round good hotel with very spacious clean bedroom. Only issue was that the air conditioning does not work , a fan was provided but unfortunately the room was blistering hot. Breakfast very good with the usual choices. All staff very pleasant and really don't know how... More

Stayed here a few times just for odd nights. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms have always been quiet, clean and have all you would need. Beds comfortable and shower powerful. Not great views just off main road but far enough away to be quiet. Nothing immediately around the hotel so car would be handy.

Reading the previous reviews, they have either a lot of staff writing on Trip Advisor or I've caught them on a really bad day. Notwithstanding some very specific issues (I've stayed here before in my part time capacity as a coach driver - plenty of parking for coaches but bends and corners designed for cars) there are a number of... I stayed here for work - attending a conference there the next day. It was a bit of a trip from the train station and needed a taxi. My room was a good size with the kind of facilities you would expect in a mid-range chain hotel. The food was very average. The conference facilities were good. What makes this... More

Despite a Wedding Dance in full swing we were made very welcome after our journey. We had a meal in the restaurant which was ok and breakfast was good next day with nice friendly staff. I know what to expect when I book and I'm reassured by that! Well done again!

We had DBB+afternoon tea and a late check out for £98. So I won't be too critical. Check in was smooth. Afternoon tea was lovely. Dinner was a bit hit and miss. The starter (wood pigeon) was raw, I could hear it coo. The main was very nice with a good portion size. We asked for coffee instead of a... More
