We had the perfect wedding in the perfect place. We got married here in 2007 and wouldn't have changed a thing about our day. We were looking for accommodation for a relatives wedding and came across this by accident and it just looked the perfect place for a unique wedding, when we went to view it, wow it was perfect.... I loved staying here. It was a great location and very welcoming hosts. I was the vegetarian at the table in the previous review, and yes they did serve a vegetarian dish (which I thought was delicious, and will be googling for a recipe), but were also very clear about food requests when I made my booking. My experience of... More

Great to read from a guest giving Rating 5 whilst others same evening are grading only 2! Its really easy with us to enjoy the very best of hospitality and food as we really love to please and to entertain...also it requires a clear focus by guests on their requirements and expectations and most important a clear communication with us!... I booked this place through a voucher given to me for my birthday, although the place itself was stunning our experience wasn't a great one. The accommodation was very basic and the building itself was very cold, we took our 6 year old daughter with us and she was complaining of being cold pretty much all the time we were... More

This is a B&B in the 'old-fashioned' way with strong believe in sharing our private home including high-quality furniture and decoration telling stories of our life with others. We like as well the idea of guests gathering -specially at our spectacular main lounge upstairs around a big table; also there is a 2nd lounge and a 2nd table on offer... More

It's a very nice, quiet place to stay. Nice, cosy room and very clean. The dinner and breakfast were lovely, very tasteful. The hospitality was great! If it's nice weather, there is a nice garden to sit .

Very friendly hosts & good braekfast. Please ask the hosts for restaurants recommendations in the area, as there are not many. We were told to go to Lossiemouth where we had a walk at the sany beach and a nice dinner. The other option would be to dine in the B&B itself, but here I cannot say anything since we... More

We were on a cycling trip from Aberdeen to Inverness and stopped at The Old Church of Urquhart for one night. It is a beautiful place and Andreas and Kris were the perfect hosts. We ate an evening meal there which was absolutely beautiful and great value for money. This is the perfect place to stay if you wish to... More

On arrival, we were greeted at the door by Andreas, who gave us a tour of the Old Church and showed us to our beautifully decorated rooms, the main feature to me being the Gothic windows. The food was excellent, Scottish salmon being served for dinner, Andreas and Kris (chef) were perfect hosts, the location was idyllic, and it was... More

We were having a nostalgic return to Morayshire and this was an ideal place to stay. It was a wonderful setting, excellent food, great hospitality and in addition, good company and great weather to enjoy the scenery!

We just spent 1 night here and we really enjoyed this amazing place because of the very peaceful atmosphere. We had dinner one evening and can recommend it - They try to prepare the plates as scottish as possible. Many thanks to Kris for sharing his knowledge about some Poland cities (most probably our next trip).

My friends and I stayed at the Old Church of Urquhart in June. If you want a different B&B experience, this is the place. The Church is at the end of a long road surrounded by green fields. The scene is very serene and quiet. Andreas greets you and does a small tour of the church with the guests. As... More
