Dropped in unscheduled and found a really great Hotel with fantastic food on offer by the Chef/owner Grant Spence, an absolute gem of a place with food and hospitality to match!! Do not be put off by the fact it is hidden away from sight, follow the road into Garmouth and you will find this gem. Good selection of Ales... More

We were in the restaurant part of the pub, just in for tea whilst visiting family. The food here is absolutely fantastic, menu has a good variety to choose from. The staff were great too. Couldn't do enough for us. They even have a selection of toys for little ones to amuse themselves with. Prices are reasonable, cosy atmosphere and... More

Had a wonderful evening at the Garmouth Hotel Last Saturday, food was excellent and great value for money, a warm and friendly atmosphere, bar staff were excellent with the added bonus of live music in the bar which led to us extending our stay that evening. All in all a real treat.

I am sorry to have to give such a poor rating, as I was looking forward to a delicious meal here, based on the many other good reviews. Booked a table for Sunday lunch. Sunday was bitterly cold with an outside temperature of 2C so I was hoping for some warmth in the dining room/lounge. It was perishing on arrival... More

Always receive a warm and welcoming reception when frequenting this fine village establishment. Great selection of local beers, good pub food, friendly and knowledgeable staff and often some great local musicians too.

I love this little local pub. Both of the male bartenders I have had have been beer knowledgeable and friendly. I was happy that they had Scottish craft and micro brews on tap. Also an actual cask with great beer in it. We had dinner as well and the food was pretty good pub food. I loved the Chicken Fillets... More

What to say, it's what you'd expect of any quaint wee village. Warm, friendly and welcoming staff. They offer a good selection of ales, some locally produced, the food is very good, portion size plentiful, and I found the service to be quick. Facilities include a good jukebox, pool table, bandit, B & B rooms, car park. The local shop... More

Called in with my 20 year old son for a drink. The bar lady asked to see his ID to prove he was over 18 which he didn't have with him. It would be perfectly reasonable at that point to refuse to serve him alcohol, and no offence would have been taken. What was not reasonable, however, was having decided... More

Hello, thanks for taking the time to post your comments regarding your visit to the Garmouth Hotel. I am both concerned and disappointed with the way you were dealt with and can assure you that this is not the way I expect my staff to treat our guests. It is both unprofessional and extremely rude and I cannot apologise enough... More

We eat here regularly and have always found the staff pleasant and helpful. The food has always been good and there is plenty of variety. The pub has a car park opposite and sometimes has singers on and pub quizzes. It now also houses the local shop. It is well worth the trip for someone out of the area looking... More
