Brilliant food and amazing hospitality, nothing too much trouble for the staff! Traditional scottish food with a modern twist. Rooms were big and clean. Fantastic views. Would stay again when next in the area.

The hotel oozes with tradition. Service is top notch. The best part of our stay though was the food. Fantastique!!! Michelin star food for sure in terms of quality, menu choice, presentation and taste. And yet prices are extremely reasonable. Everything we tasted was simply divine - sweet potato and cajun spiced soup, venison carpaccio, seared scallops, pigeon, sautéed wild... More

The hotel on the website looked so nice! The price indicated that this should be a 5 star (plus the other "labels" such as Conde Nast), although the website does proclaim it to be 4 star, yet what we got was a good 3 star hotel with lovely staff and a new owner who agrees "there is much to be... Arrived mid afternoon and received a friendly welcome and efficient check in. The grounds of the hotel were very well kept and although parts of the external structure needed a little TLC, the inside was beautiful, clean and everything you would expect from a hotel of this stature. Our room (Castle) was lovely and spacious, the bathroom as luxurious as... More

Lovely looking house although it's actual views of the Firth are pretty limited. Staff were very good and generally very attentive. We booked a 2 night DBB which was pretty expensive and we're let down on the first night with menu items not being available then served with replacements that were simply not 2 AA standard. The owner offered us... More

My grandson and I were touring Scotland and he wanted to 'sleep in a castle' while there. The Kincraig is very nice, clean and eye-appealing. It is located far from anything else so if you don't have car, a taxi is an expensive way around. It was hot in July and there was no air conditioning or fans so unless... More

Booked a weekend away with my partner and had a wonderful stay. Very friendly staff on arrival and we received complimentary shortbread and coffee at check in, a very nice touch! Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and we were made to feel very welcome by the family who own the hotel. Our room was spacious and finely furnished... More

The Grants were very gracious hosts - the facility was spotless and in excellent condition, and the staff was friendly and very responsive. We would definitely stay there again and willl recommend it to friends!

We arrived after 9pm without a booking, me in my motorcycle gear, my 16 year old son, William, with his push bike and cycling shorts etc. ( He was riding Land's End to John O'Groats solo, for cancer charities with me as his back up team of one. ) We were splendidly greeted and shown to a wonderful room overlooking... Had to do a wee job in Invergordon and stayed the night. Arrived looking a total mess but was treated like royalty. Superb meal, and then sat in the bar chatting to guests, locals and staff till way too late. super big room (23) with four poster and amazing view. Breakfast was perfect, ( I do like my salmon and...
