We stayed at the Braeval for 2 nights on our tour of Scotland. The breakfast was excellent and was served in the restaurant overlooking the sea. Our room also had a seaview and was a nice size with a good shower, the only slight problem was a dodgy door lock which sometimes we found hard to insert the key, apart... More

Ever so friendly service! The location was next to perfect. Book yourself a seaview. Bar underneath the hotel has a great choice of whiskye's. Absolutely worth recommending! Looking forward to stay there again....

Travelled from pitlochry to have a meal in the restaurant. Initial reception was stanoffish not what I wished to see after a long car journey but we did get settled down to enjoy a superb meal. Would recommend the restaurant

We stayed here for three nights from 13th Sept 2014. The staff here are excellent and very welcoming. It was very clean and comfortable hotel and great value for money. The breakfast was also very good. We were here on a very busy weekend in the bar but it didn't interfere with us at all.. I would stay again.

A great pub feel combined with a high quality restaurant. Bar had excellent selection of real ales and food was both plentiful and of high quality. Accomodation was pretty good - clean and comfortable. Views/location excellent.

We arrived late at night and staff was very helpful. The hotel is a little hard to find with very limited parking. The room was basic but clean. It was a little warm and the windows could not be opened because they had been painted closed. If you want a "locals" hotel with a basic room and a friendly staff... More

Thank you for your comments. For the sake of clarification for others - the hotel is located 100 yds off the main Aberdeen/Inverness trunk road. There is no private parking but ample free on street parking all around the hotel and there is also a 100 car free open air car park at the rear of the hotel. I did... More

Recently stayed one night in this hotel on our motorbike tour of Scotland. The room was basic, clean enough . The staff were very helpful, we ate here for our evening meal and the food was very nice so was the breakfast the following morning. Would stay here again if in this area.

We arrived on a cold and Rain night and were immediately struck by the warmth of the young lady at the reception. The room was absolutely enchanting with a view of the sea. It was very clean and the design was tastefull and charming. The bed was soooo comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was very good and The... More

Overall a pleasant experience at this hotel, would recommend and stay again if in the area. Very good standard evening meal. The view from the restaurant/breakfast room was super. Had no difficulty parking by the Hotel which was a bonus.

Thank you for your remarks. It's nice to hear the comments about ease of parking. Although we don't have a private car park there's plenty of free on street parking all around. More
