The hotel is lovely - comfortable, clean, luxuriously appointed and set in beautiful grounds. The room was spacious but cosy, the beds were really comfortable and there was no noise from other rooms or from outside. However the hotel let itself down in terms of service. We could not access the Wifi on the first night which was a necessity... More

Got off to a good start as I was upgraded and had an executive room. Room was spacious, well appointed and clean with a large bathroom (with both a shower and bath). The bed was huge and very comfortable. the only disappointment was the tv, an ancient old fashioned tv in a cabinet with a poor picture! Over all a... More

A group of friends met here for a weekend. The hotel is in open and spacious grounds, and looks like a large baronial castle. The staff were very welcoming & friendly, breakfasts & dinners tasty and plentiful, the rooms spacious and fairly well appointed, and the bar well stocked. The hotel is located in the town of Nairn on the... More

Stayed here 1 night with CIE tours. You drive by their Highland Cows, Neeps and Tatties, as you enter. Dinner at the hotel was good and I had nice raspberry dessert. They even had bread with haggis in it!! The hotel is quiet and on nice grounds. We woke up to a coating of snow so we went outside to... More

My sister & I stayed here for 2 nights, while visiting family on a B&B 'January madness' promotion. £20.15pppn. With cake & coffee on arrival. Excellent value. We opted to eat in the hotel on the Friday night (£15 for 3 courses, booked before arrival). The food was lovely & the portion sizes were huge! Wine was around £6.50 a... More

Spent 2 nights in a very nice room, large bathroom with underfloor heating, spacious bedroom overlooking the grounds. The TV set is housed in a large furniture unit and is seriously needing replaced, the channels are mixed up, the set does not match the otherwise excellent hotel experience. Staff are friendly and obliging.

I've stayed at the newton a few times as a solo traveller but this time travelled with family on a fantastic deal for dinner bed and breakfast. We were very pushed for time as we had an event to attend outside of the hotel and due to work commitments couldnt get to Nairn until 7pm. The receptionist walked with us... More

Visited Nairn recently and booked this hotel based on recent reviews. The drive up to the hotel is very impressive as is the building itself, however that is pretty much where the impressiveness ends. Our allocated room was very dated, complete with large old style television and telephone. It was like walking back into an 80's hotel room. This 'classic'... More

Thank-you for your review. We are in complete agreement that the rooms in the original side of the building are in need of a refurbishment. Our TVs are being replaced at the moment. What our building lacks in "mod-cons", it makes up for in atmosphere, and, hopefully, you will return. More

I first stayed at the Newton Hotel in October 2014 (and submitted a very positive review on Trip Advisor) and booked a second stay on the back of my experience of my first visit. When I stayed initially in October 2014 my experience was second to none and would have recommended it to anyone wishing a short break with excellent... More

Firstly, thank-you for taking the time to ask to speak to me directly during your time at the hotel, it is so much better to receive feedback face to face. As I stated at the time, our chef is the same, and we have indeed had rave reviews about our new menu. Whilst I appreciate it wasnt to your liking,... More
