Room 105 is not great, beds are narrow and pillows grim. Attended a function and dinner was disgusting. Breakfast distictly average - all but the sausage was cold in the cooked breakfast. Having said that: The staff are really nice!! More

Myself and three friends were there for a girly weekend last weekend. Excellent service. Everyone couldnt be any more helpful than they were. That was absolutely everyone that we dealt with. The bed was very comfortable although the room was hot so we opened the windows the next night. Food excellent, couldnt fault the service or the excellent breakfast we... More

We stayed for two nights on the 27th and 28th January whilst attending a family celebration. The staff at the Newton hotel are all superb! Every member of staff in all areas were so polite and very well trained. The bedroom 116 was perfectly comfortable with a lovely outlook. We ate an inclusive dinner on the first evening in the... This was our second visit and this time we took our 13 year old daughter for a 2 night day. We had booked 2 rooms and were informed when we checked in that we had been upgraded to superior rooms - must be a very quiet time of the year! Rooms were very spacious and had all usual extras. Not... More

We couldn't believe our luck when we managed to book this beautiful hotel for £45 and when we noticed this included a full "Scottish Breakfast" (not your usual croissant, fruit and make your own toast scenario offered in many hotels) we did think there had been a big mistake and kept waiting for a tap on the shoulder by the... Stayed here for 1 night on the 3rd December for a company function. Hotel public areas were very nice. The function itself was very good. The rooms leave a lot to be desired. We were in the old side of the hotel and the rooms were freezing bearing in mind this is the Highlands in December our radiator was look... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting relatives that stay nearby. We booked the room direct with the hotel (01667 453144) for the same rates as advertised online. This gave a better cancellation option should the weather have prevented us travelling (12 noon on day of arrival rather than 48 hours). We had an executive room... More

Stayed here for one night on business. Hotel in secluded grounds within walking distance of town and coast/beach. Had great meal in Chaplins restaurant and excellent choice for breakfast. Old world elegance with good efficient staff and modern facilities. Will be back next time in the area. More

My boyfriend and I stayed just for one night and had the most pleasant experience staying at the hotel. We arrived after dark and the hotel looked very impressive from both outside and inside. The receptionist was very welcoming and nothing was a problem. We booked a twin room instead of a double by mistake and the receptionist managed to... More
