My wife and I stayed two nights in this wonderful hotel, and everything was first class, the staff were most helpful and courteous, the rooms superb and the food excellent. We can say no more, a must visit if you are in the area. more

The room was very comfortable with a separate bedroom and sitting room. The service was excellent in every aspect. It also has its own pub which serves great food and has a good array of pure ales and Scottish Whiskeys. The breakfast was of a very high standard and the location was within walking distance to town or an easy... more

We stayed at the Claymore during the last week of April / early May. it wasn't our first choice of hotel in the area, but we are very glad that we ended up there. The staff were extremely friendly, and allowed us to check in early (we had come up overnight from London on the Caledonian Sleeper Train). The room... more

Lovely stay in a great location, but the hotel staff were the key to sucsess. Everyone keen to enquire after your well being and ever so helpful with tips on places to see and things to do. All in a very enjoyable break 'amongst freinds'. more

Comfortable room and helpful friendly staff. We dined from the a la carte menu and were disappointed. The menu read well, but the food did not live up to expectation. We would stay again but we would eat in the bar next time where the suppers seemed very popular and offered good value. more

We found the Claymore by chance - but what a find. It's a lovely villa in a quiet street near Nairn beach and golf club. A private hotel - the owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly - chatting with us over a drink in the bar. The bar is lovely with a coal fire. Both the bar and... more

We have stayed at the Claymore this weekend, and found it to be a wonderful getaway. We asked if they would be able to prepare our room earlier than the usual 1pm check in time, which they duly did, as we had a wedding to attend just down the road and we were on a real tight timeline. The bed... more
