Would not advise anyone to stay at this joke of a hotel. We were welcomed by someone who looked like a tradesman not a hotel proprietor. Whilst he was helpful he failed to mention a couple of important points.......the code for the front door, the fact that to run a shower the hot water had to be run for 10... More

This hotel should be closed or at least it should be refreshed. I was here in 2011 and my friends have visited it recently. It's HORRIBLE! I thought they had changed something for the better, but I was mistaken. The first thing you see - it's a beautiful old castle, hotel’s lobby is gorgeous too - chairs, paintings, stuffed deer,... Had a wonderful night at the Windsor, the food was amazing, my complements to the chef. The entertainment was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Would recommend and will return in the future.

Took my elderly parents on a pre christmas visit to see family. On arrival no one seemed to know that we were booked in hence we had to wait whilst rooms were allocated. There was a leak in my parents room- water leaking through a ceiling next to bathroom light fitting. They eventually got another room. We were booked in... More

This is a run down hotel that has seen better days, "Ving" system disabled and no working lift. We were offered room 223, what a tip curtains missing and dangerously broken reading lamps on the headboard. The stay was accompanied by the constant noise of the AC system extract fans. There were NO evacuation instructions on the inside of the... More

I stayed in this hotel 30 years ago so it was a bit of nostalgia. Initial impressions were not good with plentiful white vans parked outside, unfortunately not doing the place up - they were the guests. It was obvious from the soul-less atmosphere when walking into the entrance lobby that this hotel has been through a distressed situation. The... More

My friends and I were a little worried by the bad reviews but, come on guys, you get what you pay for. Our rooms were fine. Clean, comfortable and well worth what we paid. The staff were helpful and appeared to be doing their best which is all one can ask. Breakfast was fine, the toaster was a bit slow... More

I travel fairly extensively throughout the UK on business and would rate this as the worst yet. Checked in by a young guy who could not work the computer or credit card machine and could not care less about us. The room was grubby and in need of repair and the following day the breakfast was cold and inedible. Left... More

I took the family to Nairn for the weekend and stayed at The Windsor. My wife was a bit worried having read the reviews on here but we gave it a chance and we are grateful that we did. Staff where wonderful and couldn't do anymore to help us. We ate dinner on the first night from the new menu... More
