We stayed at Boath House for a couple of nights having largley been seduced by the picture of the twin baths on the website. Expecting a warm welcome, we were let in by the cleaner with no sign of anyone else around. Be prepared to be questioned if you ask for a key - " we don't do keys round... more

I booked for valentine's day and was not disappointed. The welcome from the staff was very warm and welcoming. The house has been restored to a amazing standard and has a great setting with nice garden and pond. The room was first class with large fire place and bathroom with two baths and a view of the garden and pond.... more

Boath House is a beautiful country house with wonderful grounds and situated close to Nairn's beaches, the Culloden battlefield and a noisy A road. Whilst the welcome was warm from Jonny the conceirge/butler this was not replicated by the other members of staff. We stayed in one of the new 'Conservatory rooms' which are essentially converted basement rooms with minimal... more

My wife & I stayed for a special birthday over two nights in the new cellar "suite", room No. 9. Its not really a suite and while superficially it was lovely closer inspection revealed there were obvious corners cut in its refurbishment (turned out that it was a DIY job done by the owner - not to be expected of... more

Having just returned from an Easter break at Boath House we may well have found our new weekend retreat. Located 30 minutes from Inverness and 90 from Aberdeen it is well positioned just off the main road. After prompt service from Jonathon by e-mail to arrange the break, we were met at the front door by Don, the owner, and... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our first wedding anniversary and it was an amazing experience. I felt as though I had stepped right onto the film set of The Great Gatsby, from driving up the gravel driveway surrounded by gorgeous lawns and gardens, to bathing in the twin bath tubs with candles flickering and a view... more

We were met by the friendly staff as soon as we pulled up in our rental car. We were exhausted upon arrival. However the room was lovely and Wendy and her staff are very attentive. We would give this place an excellent rating but there were a couple of situations that prevent us from doing so. First, the massages that... more

After an incredible series of stops within Scotland by our five star tour service 'Scotland Calling', they brought us to Boath House, just south of Inverness. What greeted us as we were driven in was a gracious and lovely 200 year old Georgian style estate on twenty acres. The taste and style of the House were impeccable and was a... more

This hotel was advertised as a 5 star boutique hotel - in their dreams!! We stayed for two nights. At £350 per night (including dinner), I would have expected this hotel to be luxurious and something very special. Far from it!! It appears to have been decorated "on the cheap" and the room we were in seemed to have been... more

We only spent one night at Boath House, which is a lovely country house hotel but it was fabulous. Relaxed and unpretentious - all the staff and owners were very friendly and extremely efficient. The house is full of local arts and crafts which makes is much more personable and special. The food is also a real treat, especially breakfast.... more
