I don't usually write reviews on places we have stayed on our travels, but I felt compelled to just that.We have just returned from a break in the Scottish Highlands, a favourite area of ours. We stayed at Greengates B & B in the seaside town of Nairn.
Our room was fabulous, with a kingsize bed, very comfortable. Our breakfasts were so good and very filling that we did not need another thing to eat until dinner!
There is even wireless internet for those who wish to keep in touch with the outside world.
We toured around to see the dolphins in The Moray Firth, to Cawdor village, very picturesque, but the Castle was closed during March, opens early May I think. Just a few miles away from Nairn is Brodie Castle, the grounds are great to explore, and great shopping at Brodie Country Fayre! The Spey Valley is breathtakingly beautiful. We travelled east along the Moray coast and North to Falls of Shin and Dornoch, again lovely scenery.
We loved it so much at our B & B...

We highly recommend Greengates if you are traveling to Inverness and want to stay outside of the city. We are grateful for Funkhouser5's kind comments, and would like to thank her for taking the trouble to write. Just in case of any confusion here we would like to point out that Greengates Guesthouse is a new B&B, conveniently located in a quiet and pleasant street in the heart of Nairn, which is 15 miles from Inverness. Greengates is...
