We stayed for a romantic weekend away, the location and views are amazing but the room let it down. It was very small, decor was dated and the balcany was facing the car park BUT this is a wonderful base for exploring and has a nice bar and restaurant.

My girlfriend and I stayed here last May as a romantic weekend away and this definitely did not disappoint. All staff from reception to bar were extremely friendly and. the food was spectacular, something that's making us want to come back. The rooms are a little dated but then I'm a strong believer in reviewing based on what we paid... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I had a fantastic view of Loch Ness from my bed & got to watch the sun set from there (mind you, the sun sets very late that far north...). The room is clean, a bit dated but comfortable and I slept like a baby. The bathroom is updated & clean --that was... More

A really bad experience and I would suggest looking at other options at nearby Inverness. Stayed here on a road trip and we ordered a triple room. It was a case of bait and switch because there were only two beds in the room. We were not even offered alternatives such as an additional folded out bed. Receptionist didn't really... More

I was disappointed with this hotel. I think it is extremely overpriced for what it is. First of all, our booking experience was very unpleasant. We booked a lake view room with a balcony for three nights SEVEN MONTHS IN ADVANCE since it was a special occasion. A few days before we were due to arrive, I emailed the hotel... More

The hotel is a bit dated, and in some ways that is disappointing, but in another way it adds to its charm. Our mattress needed replaced badly, but the room otherwise was fine. The bar was great, fantastic setting and a good selection of single malts. Breakfast was average, but the one dinner we had there was very very good.... More

Food of very poor quality especially the Scottish breakfast which was the worst breakfast we have ever experienced & was inedible. Food in the restaurant in the evening was also disappointing. Hotel generally feels a bit dated. Bathroom & in particular the shower cubicle were really very small - basin very low. Bedroom which was at the rear of the... More
