Unfortunately this hotel does not live up to their website pictures or information. We were there during the very busy month of August, and the hotel lobby, bathroom, Cafe and gift shop are a main stop for all the tour buses visiting Loch Ness area for the boat tour. The rooms are small and the beds are so uncomfortable we... More

Having read some negative reviews for Loch Ness Clansman Hotel we weren't sure what to expect; on arrival (6th April) reception was closed, there was a sign directing to report to the bar for check-in but it wasn't easily seen. Barmaid was very friendly and helpful; we had booked a loch view room and the view was fabulous - definitely... More

I checked the reviews before our holiday, & saw it had better reviews for the restaurant as opposed to the accommodation. & as our holiday cottage was next door we thought we'd sample the food, we weren't disappointed. We already booked the meal in advance & requested a table overlooking Loch Ness . What fantastic views. Though a bit pricey... More

The rooms were very clean and had great views of Loch Ness (if only it had not been raining). The food in the restaurant was good, too. So it was very effective for people like us, just passing through. However, the gift shop closed early and didn't open till late, which was disappointing. Also the A82 is very busy and... More

We stayed at the Loch Ness Clansman hotel last week and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel offers a gorgeous view of the loch and is a short drive from the town of Inverness. We had arrived about an hour early prior to check in so we headed up to the restaurant to have lunch. Our food was... More

I booked two rooms online (via Booking.com) and subsequently changed one of them to be 'with a view'. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn't aware of this change (although Booking.com ensured me that they had forwarded the request) and we were given two rooms (no views of the loch) situated at the back of the building. The rooms were dark and gloomy.... More

The Loch Ness Clansman really needs an upgrade. They are in such a beautiful setting the hotel could be wonderful. We were given a back room looking onto just bush. We had twin beds which were banana like and needed to be replaced. The room was quiet but being on the second floor with our heavy luggage was difficult as... More

Enjoyed our stay here .Front rooms have great views and lovely en suite showers Our only complaint was the evening meal which was more like a small bar meal on very narrow plates. After saying that the breakfasts were very good with plenty to choose from. Our special thanks go to Sharon at reception who was so friendly and helpful... More

My original intention was to give the Clansman Inn a lower rating of two green meatballs; however due to the actions of the Inn's employees that go by the names of Scott, Aaron, and Kevin, I felt it only fair that an upgrade was warranted. With that said however, I do hope that the management reads this with an open... More

This hotel is located right on Loch Ness and is a great place to experience this are. The staff is very helpful and the lounge/dining area has a great view of the loch. I chose this place because it was outside of Inverness I wanted to really see the countryside. The hotel is situated by great hiking trails and across... More
