We arrived at Tingle Creek after a lovely private drive tour around Skye and were treated to a wonderful tale about how the place got its name, as the driver had known the prior owner of the then house. Do ask the hosts to tell you the story! Our room was on the 1st floor (2nd floor American) and treated... more

Staff very pleasant however they seem a bit rushed. Dinner was okay - it was very expensive for what we got. Would recommend Plockton village as there is more choice. Rooms fine, very clean unfortunately could here the room's next door TV loud and clear. Breakfast very good. Hotel reception / dinning room could be with an update felt a... more

Hotel is in a lovely position and the view is fantastic, the weather was beautiful so we had our evening meal out on the decking with the sun reflecting off the sea. We were travelling with our pet and this was not a problem, the only area she was not allowed in was the dining room. We had a warm... more

We are two young oldies who wanted to do Michael Palin's favourite Train Journey in the World (Inverness to Kyle - and, for us later, Malaig south to Glasgow). We read the reviews of the local hotels in Kyle and chose Tingle Creek. We were not disappointed. We were collected from the Station and were treated as "VIPs but belonging... more

Eight of us stayed there recently, including my sister and our elderly parents. The family who run it couldnt have been nicer - very... more

We visited the Tingle Creek for the first time in February last year (2007) and returned again in June and September. On each occasion we were welcomed like old friends by the owners of this family run hotel. The accommodation, food and location made for a truly memorable stay. The hotel is warm and cosy and the ever attentive staff... more

Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Found staff friendly and very helpful. High standards of housekeeping evident. Enjoyed using newly refurbished en suite. An excellent getaway from it all for a city dweller like myself. Beautifil scenery in these parts. Would recomend. more
