We knew from the reviews that the Kyle Hotel wasn't going to be good. I had booked the hotel three days before because there was nothing else available during peak season. Even knowing it would not be high quality, we were surprised how bad it was. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, two of the four light fixtures were... More

Stayed just the one night as we were doing the Glasgow to Kyle of Lochalsh round trip by train and this seemed like a nice hotel that was available despite seeming rather pricey. The hotel itself is well placed in the centre of Kyle of Lochalsh and just a short walk up from the station. The room we had was... More

Took my breath away - and not in a good way. Worst hotel I have ever visited. Room dreadful, very small and in terrible state of repair, evening meal inedible. Embarrassed that visitors to Scotland have to endure this.

Not the most welcoming of staff in this hotel, it looks like it has had some sort of face lift in the last few years but is in need of a full refurbishment. Rooms are generally okay, no wifi which was quite annoying and tv not great. I certainly wouldn't chose to stay at this place, if I come back... More

The outside appearance of the hotel is good. The woman at the desk did not appear to be so kind. She seemed to be annoyed by the guest who came to ask her infos and information. Please forgive me if I came to spend some money in your low-value hotel. When I came into my room, I found out the... More

I stayed in many places is Scotland and this was, by far, the worst. The room was old and our view was of a brick wall as we were basically underground. The bed was so hard we just could have slept on the floor. The bathroom had a weird odor and the shower was barely big enough to fit in.... More

I booked 4 rooms for 1 night for myself and my family. After a 13 hour journey, we finally got to our rooms. I could write pages on this, but i'll simply summarise, as this cesspit has already taken up so much of my time. The rooms cost £115 per night, expensive by comparison to a good 4 star hotel,... Kyle of Lochalsh is such an amazing place that the quality of the hotel does not matter. This hotel as adequate but the décor was spooky and I suppose one expect that for it is an old hotel. Spooky as it was, it had a romantic feel rather than a scary one - it was also intriguing for I felt... More

Booked three nights here as part of a trip to take in Skye and Lochalsh area. Reduced booking to one night only and I was glad I did. First impressions weren't good. Two men were outside the bar smoking and spitting and using very colourful language as my wife and I went into Reception next door to the bar. A... More
