Having seen some of the reviews I approached this place with some trepidation. As it turned out these misgivings were unfounded. The reception welcome was fine and the accommodation was clean and tidy is a bit dated. The restaurant was okay too. It was good value and I'd stay again. more

Booked two rooms costing a total of GBP 280 and spent one dismal night in the Kyle Hotel (Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland). One room was noisy and small, the other only marginally better.. When we asked the manager why the rooms were over-priced, he answered by second class mail (with insufficient postage) that we had agreed to the internet rates... more

It is disappointing to read your review and I am genuinely sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, I would also like to apologise for the correspondance that was sent having the incorrect postage. With regard to your comments about the rate, as is common place throughout the industry our rates are changed daily according to supply and demand...

We arrived Sunday lunchtime, the room was not ready so we went to the bar for a drink. We should of realised at this point in time what a mistake we had made. When we checked in and went to our room I could not believe how bad it was. The shower door was hanging off, the light was hanging... more

Had smallish single room for £50 B&B. Value just about OK. Room OK - nothing special & had seen better days e.g. top layer peeling from composite wardrobe base & window latch broken. En suite shower room OK. Had bar meal which was OK - nothing special but not expensive. Bar not for those who like a quiet drink &... more

My girlfriend and I used this hotel as a base to explore Skye and the surrounding areas. The hotel was basic but then again we only arrived at 8pm each night and left early in the morning so for that the hotel was fine. The breakfasts were good if somewhat limited but they set us up for our days travels.... more

As a base to explore the West Coast and Skye this was a fine hotel - The Kyle of Lochalsh is a strange place as it is really somewhere for people who want to be somewhere else and as a first timer to the area it was fine - like a Travel Inn type place with a pub attached (I... more

No warmth of welcome. Basic rooms. Uncaring staff who showed no concern that one couple could not occupy a room that reeked of tobacco smoke and moved to another hotel. Another couple had to occupy a room which was dark and cold (heating broken) It was a take it or leave it attitude. Some of our party mentioned mould in... more

We stayed for one night in this over priced hotel. We paid £115 for bed, breakfast and dinner. The dinner was a set menu of £20 each, which means we paid £75 for the bed and breakfast. The meals were mediocre at best. Our room was on the ground floor and was very noisy. We could hear people coming and... more

I am sorry that you did not find that the Hotel met with your expectations, and also that you did not bring to either my attention or a member of the team your observations so that we could have dealt with some of the matters at the time and made your stay more acceptable. It was Easter Sunday and the...
