This hotel is the largest by far in the area. We were on a fleeting tour of Scotland by train so we had booked this at the last minute online. The first indication you will get that everything is not right with this hotel is that there are two sets of 'automatic' doors leading into the hotel and the barely... More

Looking good from the outside, the first room offered we turned down, the smell was awfull, the decor 60s, the bathroom a disgrace, that's the first room The Garden room, not a good aroma, cleanliness left a lot to be desired, not a happy time had here so I don't think we would revisit

visited this hotel whilst out on a photography shoot. There was no hot water in very dated room. Room must have just been painted as there was paint on the shower head, and the service was very poor with bar staff commenting on how poor the hotel was.tried to call night porter to check out in morning this took over... Visited for a few nights whilst on business in the area. Check in smooth. Room had a fantastic view and was a large twin. Bathroom had a new shower fitted, no hot water in afternoon though. Rest of bathroom a bit grubby. Ate in restaurant, pretty average. Whilst checking out there seemed to be some confusion regarding the food, think... More

There is much to like in this hotel. The view for a start, which is pretty spectacular and everything we had hoped for. The staff were friendly, the room spacious - and had pretty much everything we needed. There is a bit of 'faded glory' about this place and it clearly needs a bit of money spent on refurbishment. However,... More

we had a lovely meal, and I was pleased to find the disabled toilet so near the bar. Unfortunately staff must not check regularly. Good job I have a strong stomach, had to flush it twice before it was useable. Ugh!

The Good: Staff always smiling and an amazing location overlooking the loch. The Bad: Wi-Fi working only in the lobby. Hot water not working (but offered to use another room after breakfast for the shower). Toilet not flushing well and clogging. Extremely cold room and only one extra single blanket was available (so only covering one of us). A cockroach... More

We received a great welcome when we arrived. We got a corner room with spectacular views of the Skye Bridge. It was a very cold weekend and the room was cold but we were provided with extra heaters which soon warmed up the very large room. The food was good.

Had to make a last minute booking due to the ferry being cancelled, and arrived late in atrocious weather. I was met with a smiling face and a warm welcome. Even though it was late food was still available and I had a very good scampi and chips. Breakfast was excellent My dog was welcome not just accepted :-)

This was my second visit to this hotel. It is situated in a fine position over looking the loch and old ferry landing,The hotel looks very attractive from the outside, but it has been neglected over the years on the inside. The reception, bar, and lounge areas have no life what so ever ,the evening bar menu is very limited.... More
