The house is an impressive structure, which immediately raises your expectations. Pleased to say our stay did not fail to impress. Our room contained everything necessary for a comfortable stay although the TV was extremely small. This was offset by the fact there is a seperate guests lounge which had a large screen TV. The breakfast was great and our stay... More

When we came there my husband said: we'll have our own private church! But it was great. Friendly and warm (also as far as the temperatures go, since its been a freezing week in Scotland). We left our car there the following morning as well...

we booked to stay at St Andrews after reading about it in the lonely planet guide to the highlands.we were not disapointed, it is a lovely building and has a warm feeling to it.Sheena and Tom are great hosts and are always availiable but unobtrusive.overall Fort Willam leaves a little to be desired and the high street is a bit... Overall, the location of this guest house is nice and quiet, the room we got was rather big but NOT spotless. The wifi was poor in the room and we had to go downstairs to access internet. The welcome by the tenant, a lady, was rather neutral. I am intolerant to gluten and requested at our arrival, i.e. roughly 20... More

This was by far the nicest place that we stayed while walking the West Highland Way. The location is right in the heart of town and everything in Fort William. Walk-able to the train, restaurants and shops. The building itself is old and full of atmosphere. Very pretty exterior. Our room was so charming, had a cute little window outlook... More

What a nice surprise when we went to mass at the local Catholic church and saw Tom, our host, on the altar as the deacon! He was just ordained this year! My husband is also a deacon here in Kentucky and we enjoyed talking with Tom & Sheena about their diocese. Hope to see them again someday, perhaps on the... More

We stayed here 2 days. The building is charming historical house with lovely gardens. The rooms are bit outdated and could be improved. However, we slept very well. The views of the loch from the room are great. Breakfast was very good and prepared as for our likings. The host were always happy to share about their local knowledge and... More

Beautiful historical building with lovely gardens and convenient location. Parking was easy, rooms were clean and owners were quite helpful in guiding us to different activiites around the area. Rooms are not elaborate but clean. Located 3 blocks from town centre so quite convenient for restaurants. We had 2 rooms with the shared bathroom and it worked out fine. Best... More

Start of our Great Glen walk. Arrived early and allowed to leave our bags and as our room was ready, into our room. A little tired but very clean and we had a cracking view from our window. Breakfast was very good and owners quite chatty and attentive at breakfast..

The house itself is impressing. If you are lucky, you get the family suite which really is a suite which some hotels charge you a fortune: plenty of space, beautiful view over the town an the Loch, and a large and comfortable bed. The other room we had was a lot smaller (hard to fit two large suitcases somewhere) but... More
