A lovely and historic guest house run by a friendly, welcoming and pleasant family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the location was central - only 2 minutes walk to the High Street of Fort William. There was only one problem and that was the smell of the owners dear but aging golden retreiver. The rooms and dining room... more

The whole place smelled awful. I would say it was the dog that seemed to roam freely throughout the premises, it needed a bath! We had to help ourselves to breakfast as they do not cater for those leaving for Glasgow on the 7:32 am train - the breakfast rooms apparently open at 8am. Although food was provided for us... more

Very friendly owners and the cooked breakfast was very nice. The room was a little dated (as was the bathroom), however the house itself is very beautiful and is about a 3 minute walk from the town center. Plenty of private parking available. more

Have stayed in many B&B in Scotland and this must be one of the best! We were welcomed outside and very well looked after from the very first minute by Tom. Had a lovely, clean and spacious room overlooking the loch. We didn`t have en suite bathroom but we had our own bathroom just outside our room so that was... more

We lucked out in finding this Guest House in Fort William. It is an old Church Choir School from the Victoria period, that has been converted into an B&B. The owners are charming and the rooms very comfortable. The interior has a museum like quality. It is located an easy 5 minute walk from the main downtown. The breakfast is... more

I liked very very much this BB for the structure, an old home that remembers a little castle! The room is very nice, only because part of the fantastic house: it was not so special, but equally clean and quiet. Sitting room and breakfast are optimum. Unique flaw is the pleasantness, that was lacking a little. more

We stayed one night at St. Andrews while traveling by train from Edinburgh to Mallaig. The location close to the train station was of primary importance. I must say we received good value for our stay. The owners were lovely and very welcoming, especially after our very wet walk with luggage from the station! (It is uphill, so I would... more

A great location overlooking the loch, friendly owners, a very nice breakfast and a beautiful building do not compensate the terrible worn-out beds. The beds were very hard and we could feel the springs in our backs the whole night. This place should be great, but if the main purpose of your stay is sleeping the beds should be in... more

Although we had a hard time getting to it due to the one-way roads & our lack of familiarity with the area we were impressed with the house & the room when we got there. The view was beautiful over the town & loch, and it was a very short walk into the centre of town. Cute little rabbits on... more
