Stayed here after finishing the west highland way and really needing a shower and a rest, the woman on the reception was really nice and helpful. Excellent place to stay for exploring the local area-ben nevis, fort william, nevis range. Great value for money as well. Recommended!

We stayed at this 'long named' hostel for 1 night & simply enjoyed the stay. The hostel is set amidst Ben Nevis & it's sister hills & the running canals leading to Loch Ness.. Henry at the hostel was very helpful in providing all help required on shifting from one room to the other & with breakfast spread. The hostel... More

I had a great time at chase the wild goose.. Mostly because the staff were lovely, and we spent lots of time just hanging out and becoming friends. The hostel is well located, with information about pretty much anything you'd want to do in the Fort William area.

I stayed here on the 1st of August 2014 just for the one night with my dad and brothers after climbing Ben Nevis and found we were able to check in without a problem and were quickly directed to our room an 8bed dorm we found that the room was adequate for ourselves. Shared bathroom and showers which were fine..... More

Me & my brother stayed 1 night at the hostel although little expensive for a hostel in a vry tiny little city, it was really worth it. The rooms were clean & tidy & the view from the hostel was beautiful. We wished we stayed longer. Henry was helpful & friendly & answered all our queries patiently. The breakfast spread... More

For starters :The location is good and the staff is friendly .That is it . The rooms are dirty , the kitchen and dining room have an unpractical lay out , our window could not close so things got wet , there was mould in the bathrooms and everytime anyone took a shower or bath or went to the loo... Chase the wild goose is a good hostel. The people there were friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Banavie is a quiet village with great views of the Ben and its surrounding mountains. I will be going back there next year,

We arrived midday and were immediately welcomed by a friendly staff member. Since then we have just been provided with the best help and advice. The hostel is in a great location, not too far from Ben Nevis and there are some good local pubs nearby where you can avoid all the tourists. The hostel itself is quite alright, too.... More

I stayed here as part of a group cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. we had been spoiled a little on the way up and in hindsight should have paid a bit more to stay in a hotel. The cost was about £15 each and clearly you get what you pay for. This place needs some money spending on... More
