Good for a night in Fort William and to chill in the spa. Not that fancy or typical but it is functional and the you can easily find spare rooms. Breakfast is good. Wide selection and efficient and kind crew.

This a quirky old building, it did have a pool/leisure centre attached but the rooms were small, too far to walk from the main building/reception and no lift for the luggage. Although the walkway to the outer rooms is covered the sides are open to the elements, on our visit this gave us wind-blown rain, not nice. The meals in... More

Starting with the good: this hotel has a very nice lounge and pool area. The staff were helpful, the breakfast was excellent. The dinner was average. We were visiting during a heat wave and there was no air conditioning in our room and the window was difficult to open. The room was small and cramped and viewed the car park.... More

This hotel has a grand name and looks quite impressive from the road, but I was very disappointed with my room (no.101) for £77.90. This room, which faced a car park, had a single bed with a wardrobe that was too small for my suitcase to fit, and a private bathroom that was clean but had poor ventilation and a... More

What a lovely hotel, location, staff, amenities, entertainment. ..everything in this hotel is top class. We were there 3 nights, part of a contingents of former & serving Royal Marines. We had a fabulous week-end. On Sunday night we were outnumbered in the bar, where out of nowhere we were surrounded by Germans football supporters, who watched the Germany- Argentina... More

This is a hotel of contrasts and extremes. The ultra clean, even sparkly bathroom compared to the shabby, rundown exterior which resembles a holiday camp building. And whilst the bedroom was spacious and clean, many of the lime green dining room chairs were very stained and uninviting. I am surprised the management has not noticed. The excellent, really helpful dining room... More

This is not a great hotel, all very tired but not cheap. The bed was tiny, the room cold and noisy from the road. The two saving graces were that it was the only place with a room left and so had little choice and the breakfast was ok.

The reception staff were excellent and went out of their way to accomodate my partially disabled friend by giving us a ground floor room instead of a first floor room previously allocated. Top marks For the money though, when compared to continental hotels, this one was most definitely poor value. Carpet in the common areas were dirty and needed changing,... More

Very nice rooms and average breakfast. There's probably better value to be found in a local guest house. Wouldn't stay here again. It was all a bit impersonal and we prefer more empathy from check in staff upon arrival. You just felt as though you were the next one in the queue.

My mate and myself stayed here for the weekend. we had booked a trek through Do it for Charity and we arrived on the Friday early evening and we left on Sunday Morning. The room wasn't to bad basic I'd say but we were only sleeping there and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The food wasn't very tasty... More
